I have no stats to back this up, but from the "eye test" it always seemed like Robin Van Persie and Lewandowski were very efficient each time I watched them

Harry Kane is clinical? Four goals from 39 goal attempts this season suggests otherwise. I suspect he's very much of the Suarez, Aguero and indeed Ibra mould mentioned in the OP, though maybe I'm wrong.

I don't have shot stats for him, but I would be very surprised if Mário Jardel wasn't near the top of this list.

Shots per goal isn't a good way to see who's the better finisher as it depends on the kind of shot the player takes. Comparing their goals to their expected goals is a much better way to do it. I don't know where there's access to those stats though.

I don't remember where, but I read a stats blog a while ago where Messi was quite ahead of the rest.
