So thought, we'll have a forum champions league on best teams of all time.

Condition: It must be a real life XI that has actually played together in lineup submitted during a particular season. I admit it's subjective and for clarity's sake lets assume the line up submitted was quite "common" during the season specified [ I'll decide at end]

Games will be knockout decided by poll herein.

Submit your nominations. Matches will be drawn at random.

Make submissions like [team name] [ year-year] e.g Barcelona 2010-11 and post a team sheet of your lineup using sharemytatics or similar site or a google wiki image.

Can different versions of the same side/nation/people play each other?

Has to be the 1972 side. Most would say that the 1974 side wasn't even the best one in the competition.
I felt that would work in my favour when others would post better sides since its a knockout match.

Lippi's Juve was insane and incredibly unlucky not to win more in Europe. Keane's superhuman performance away from reaching 4 CL finals in a row
I've picked a muppet's version of that team — Jugovic, Torricelli, Boksic, Vieiri also heavily featured over the years.

Again, a muppetised version from the 1983 final, while realistically you probably should go with the 1985 team without Zoff and Bettega. Almost complete domestic domination in the best league in the world (and, arguably, the strongest domestic league in history) and slightly underwhelming, considering the team's status, record in Europe (UEFA Cup, European Cup and another European Cup final). Plus the core of that side had won the 1982 World Cup, but you have to go with Juve over Italy because of Platini.

Eusebio's Benfica, Peñarol of the 60's (Santos overlaps with Brazil). Surely, Ajax 1995 over Netherlands 1994, the main suspects had a year more to develop and that team actually achieved something, even though you exclude muppet-dream's Bergkamp and Koeman.

If you are late to the party on this one, then clearly most great teams have gone, so thinking outside the box - and think this fits the rules. Real life 11 - played in 1942/1981. Escape to Victory.
