Keanu Reeves isn't human and doesn't age....I'm pretty certain that's a well known fact

There was a second one?

Which one was the one with Napoleon in it? That's the one I've seen. It was mainly watchable because of the fit mum character...and Napoleon's funny looking hat.

Late last summer there was a brief flurry of excitement as both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter confirmed that an excellent third Bill and Ted film was in the pipeline. There's been a bogus lack of news since, but Keanu has just told MTV that the first draft of the Bill and Ted 3 script is due next month. And he also teased a vague plot detail or two.

Last we heard, Reeves was musing on Bill S Preston and Ted Theodore Logan approaching fifty, while Winter was assuring us that the project won't be cynical, but "the straight up, most surprising take on where Bill and Ted would be right now if we stopped back in on them." No cop out next-generation stuff here (team Ghostbusters, take note).

"The fellas [original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon] went away and cooked it up," says Reeves, "but I don't know yet what happened when they put the elements together."

What he does know, is that the mooted film will pick up from the end of Bogus Journey, when the Wyld Stallyns victory at the San Dimas Battle of the Bands looked set to have put the planet firmly on the path to Utopia. Sadly not so. "When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world," Reeves explains, "and it hasn't happened. So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."

All involved are treading carefully around the sad issue of George Carlin no longer being around to play Rufus (re-casting him would be "horrible", Winter promised last year), and there are no clues yet as to whether we can expect to revisit any other previous encounters, like the Historical Babes, or Death, or Station.

But more bodacious info should be revealed before too long, as Keanu turns and points to camera, and addresses Matheson and Solomon directly: "The first draft is due in six weeks. No pressure, guys!"

It was close enough.

You can't compare getting one word wrong to mixing the two films up.

You're talking to a dude that has actually been to a Circle K in San Dimas....even though they filmed it in Aizona.

This might have potential.
What’s the story of Bill & Ted Face the Music?

ED SOLOMON: Bill and Ted were told at 16 that they were going to be the greatest people who ever lived. That they were gonna write a song that is going to save the world, and it hasn’t happened. And now they are middle-aged men. They’ve got wives who used to be princesses in medieval England who are now working double shifts at Denny’s, they’ve got teenagers that are about to leave home, money is tight, and they’ve been chasing this dream, writing song after song, when somebody from the future shows up and says, “You have 24 hours. The fate of all of space/time depends on it – and if it doesn’t happen now, it’s never gonna happen.” Bill and Ted are confused because they know they had to have written it, because after all the people in the future told them they did.. so they just must not have written it yet. So in their desperation they decide their only option is to go into the future – to when the have written it – and to steal it from themselves. What follows is a kind of utterly absurd, Christmas Carol-like journey through their lives past, present, and future. Their daughters (Bill has a daughter named Thea, Ted’s daughter is named Billie) are also very involved in trying to help them.

It’s a total comedy, but I think it’s really, really grounded in the sweetness that is Bill and Ted and the emotion of where they would be at this point in their life.

Things were rough for Ted; changed his name to John Wick and became an assassin. The reunion will be quite something. Please let someone harm a beloved family pet of his in Bill & Ted 3. Excellent!
