The ref was great in this match, let's all appreciate him.

He didn't fall for Sterling's diving or Kane's flopping around on the pitch at all.

A well refereed game throughout - great to see after the complete mess up against Denmark, with the diving being rewarded.

I agree. We're always ready to criticise refs. It's good to show some appreciation when they ref a good match.

Couldn't agree more. Especially with the bolded bit. And to be fair, he also didn't buy it when the Italians flopped around. It was clear he had done his homework.

I didnt realise that actually, is he retiring now or just from internationals? Great display tonight, he will be missed.

It would have been a far more interesting game - Italy vs Denmark - had he refereed the semi final.
