I think we should give it a go. Doubtful it would happen but could 'Pool really resist say 55 million pounds?

This one's for you, Raoul.

£55m for Torres? He's a crock!!

No thanks.

(On his day though, he's fecking awesome - but not fit enough of the time)

He's got to be the best in the world at the moment. Worth every penny I reckon.

Benzema? no thanks.

How much is that Liverpool's dodgy medical team though? He had a good fitness record in Spain. At Liverpool it seems that he is played when he is 70% fit because he is so important.

Different leagues. Torres is made of glass and can't handle the rough & tumble of the Premier League.

David Villa please  (although he'd probably end up a crock too knowing our luck)

My fear is that in 3 seasons at Anfield, he has only appeared 79 games -- but with a 56 goals tally. He has never lasted a full season and you cant claim its due to growing pains.

See, for me Torress has already proved he can play here. We've shown over the last few years that our squad can cope with injuries qute well.

All other Spanish players for me start off on the Morientes model and I worry they will not be able to hack it.

Then who do we play when we go 4-3-3. Rooney or Torres?

Rooney could slot into an attacking MF role. 2ndary Striker.

---Fletcher-------Hargreaves
-----------Rooney----------
Valencia----------------Nani
-----------Torres-----------

1. We don't have £55m
2. We already have Wayne Rooney in Torres's position
3. He's a crock
4. He wouldn't move to us
5. There's no value in the market

God no. Rooney has to stay where he is.

In fairness, Rooney's passing vision and movement would be absolutely superb in that position. Strange as it may seem, he's the closest thing we have to Scholes. Especially the younger AM/Striking Scholes.

Come to think of it, looking at his stats, 79 games, 56 goals is fecking insanse for a player who's never fully fit!!

I don't get what is amusing about that front four in fairness.

Torress problem hasn't been (at least IMO) that he is injury prone but, Pool have repeatedly rushed him back instead of sorting out his problem. We've done the same with Rooney a bit this year.

I think if they give him a proper layoff and he comes back fully fit - then he'll hold up just fine. Not that we'd ever get him but, the problem is more I think with managing his injury than the boy being injury prone.

The dippers would never sell us their best player. We have a better chance of signing Benzema.

We couldn't afford his left fanny flap. And with the young strikers on our books the money is better spent elsewhere anyhow.

Why not just exchange him for Berbatov?

Benitez loves expensive signings who dont play and when they do play dont convince.

Best striker in the world when fit. I don't think anyone can argue with that. But as already pointed out, he's never fully fit. And he's a fecking fanny.

The player who has always outperformed him in the same league and same team can. Obviously. And you cannot argue with that.

1. Sure we do, it's in the prospectus.
2. The more the merrier
3. Saha, Hargreaves.
4. Never say never. The boy wants Champions League football.
5. There's no doubt about that.
