I'm looking into buying a new blu ray player for a bedroom and have pretty much narrowed it down to two. The tv is full HD and 32 inches so I'm assuming I will benefit from blu ray.

Now the one with the bundle features a few films I wouldn't normally consider watching but I guess I'd give them a go. Is there any discernable difference between a cheap player compared to a more expensive one? Also what films benefit the most from high definition?

Seriously just buy a Ps3. It's a cracking player and I have owned a decent Samsung one in the past, but the ps3 was far superior

My Samsung one used to have tedious load times for certain discs

But isn't a PS3 like 200 quid still? I own an Xbox 360 so don't really see the value in getting one

PS3 does 3D too remember, I mean yeah extra outlay but its a cracking entertainment hub even if your not going to be gaming on it. You could probably get one if you looked around for less than £160.

Just to further annoy you with a PS3 recommendation

 yea unfortunately I'm stuck in the 2d age at the moment. To me spending 50 quid seems a lot better decision than nearly 200, especially when I factor in the cost of buying four or five blu rays

I'd go for the Sony one. I picked up a cheap one from Asda for £35 a while back and it's a decent player. If it's just for a bedroom then I'd not spend the money on a PS3 and just get something cheap and cheerful, the Sony also has on demand access so you can get Lovefilm and BBC iPlayer etc.
