a fantastic creative and direct player - his numbers speak for themselves....

increasingly he is frustrating me though.... in games like today when you are playing against a low block you want to build some sustained pressure. Be able to pin a team back and hit them with wave after wave of attacks, moving the defence around and creating space.

With Bruno though this isn't always possible. I can understand against teams playing a high line and some may argue that he's trying to catch defenders off guard. For me though if you are a CB and Bruno gets the ball you get ready for a direct pass. There is no unpredictability about how he's playing.

I've no data to back this up but firing cross after cross or direct passing against a well organised defence seems a waste of time to me. Low percentage attacking and Bruno at times is part of the problem I feel.

I think he needs to start mixing it up more or he might lose his place in some games against deep lying defences. I think Donny might have been more useful today.
