Magical Manchester United.
Dortmund are back on track now, even though they are struggling in the Champions League. Some of their football today against Cologne (5-0 win) was simply outstanding and reminiscent of last season. They will be the only club able to challenge Bayern a bit IMO, especially as Lewandowski has hit top form with Barrios still sidelined.

Zieler was MOTM v Bayern yesterday - made a string of absolutely superb saves - as Hannover won 2-1.

Bayern's second loss of the season and Manuel Neuer finally conceded a goal after going roughly 770 without being beaten.

Dortmund now only three points behind the Bavarians.

Podolski has been great this season
Yeah, he's finally realising his full potential even for a club like Cologne. He'll keep them up on his own this season... brilliant player, always has been for Germany, not correctly used at Bayern and never given much of a chance to be fair. If he stays in Cologne he'll go down as a club legend there.

Dortmund ripping Wolfsburg apart at the moment - 4-1 just now through Lewandowski whose goal was provided by a peach of a pass from Shinji Kagawa. 20 minutes to go.

I'm glad they haven't suffered this Champions League syndrome many clubs do, assuming the get to the knockouts that is.

I though Bayern had a great start and Dortmund a very poor one.
Just saw the league table. Not really that much in it.

Might not be a cakewalk for Bayern

Klopp really is a fantastic manager. His man management is top notch, and so is the way he sets his team up, always looking to play attractive one-touch football. Their way of playing is pretty much a mixture of United's and Barcelona's approach, lots of passing combined with wonderful and pacey counter-attacks.
I hope he (Klopp) remains at Dortmund for a while, gets another shot in the Champions League and gets picked up by a bigger club (Dortmund are big as well, but not one of Europe's elite clubs). I wouldn't be surprised if Bayern pick him up after Heynckes retires.

fecking get in. Love to see former Bundesliga giants Moenchengladbach finally waking up after their 30 year long sleep and Dortmund/Schalke giving Bayern a good fight for the title. Hoeness already thought they were running away with it haha!

On another note what a brilliant coach Lucien Favre is. I already admired his work at Berlin and they were stupid enough to give him the sack - he's just a cracking manager it has to be said.

Looking forward to Köln vs Gladbach on Friday. Köln have been fantastic at home since Pedro Geromel's massive brainfarts against Nürnberg, where he conceded two penalties.

And of course, Reus and Podolski in action

Nice, I was just thinking it will be great when they match up! I'll have to catch that one.

A shame Dortmund lost again in the CL, they seem clearly a level below Arsenal, but they come to life in the Bundisliga.

Make me wonder about the gulf in class between top German and top English/Spanish/Italian teams. Hell, they were spanked by Marseille 3-0 in Marseille, gives me the impression German football isn't very strong.

But I like how even it is, Bayern aside, makes for an exciting season.

In a land far far away....playing Fifa
I think it's more of first year experience in the CL. Very few teams play the same way in CL versus league play. Different set of circumstances as well and I think that also influences how teams play. As long as Dortmund do well in Bundesliga and make it into Europe again, then I think they'll be fine the next time around. They have a very good team and if you watched how they played against Arsenal, they played some wonderful football. I just think they need to really learn how to be effective.

I wouldnt write off this team so soon. They're a very young one and have some ways to go. Although, it looks like they're losing Gotze to Arsenal. That wont help

'gladbach v Bayern about to KO; interesting subplot with Reus rejecting Bayern and agreeing to join Dortmund in the summer.

P.S Get Safe Standing back - the Borussia Park is rocking!

Oh dear, Neuer.

Kicked the ball out to a Gladbach player who thanked him by putting it in the net. Very very poor.
