Evra decided to close the ball down and left a gap on the wing for Kuyt. Vidic then came over to cover him, and then Ferdinand had to move across, leaving Neville on Torres.
A bit of movement, and Torres was free - very poor by Neville, who should have at least been challenging for that ball. To a lesser extent, it was a bad decision by Evra to come and close the player which left the gap - but you can hardly blame him, he was drawn into the danger.
But yeah, the blame should be divided between Neville and Carrick.
