7 months later we're back facing the team who we started our League season against. We beat them 12-0 then. We've scored a lot of goals since, but that remains our biggest win.

Villa have improved since then and are comfortably mid-table now. They've toughened up at the back as well and drew home and away with Durham. Those are good results because Durham are the only team that have taken points off us this season (they got a win and a draw against us in the League) so Villa aren't quite the pushover that opening day scoreline suggests.

United need two wins from the last four games to guarantee top spot, but a win against Villa guarantees promotion (actually, given our GD, realistically even a draw will do that) - so it could be that Villa will give us another memorable result, one way or another.

It's on MUTV so will look forward to that.

MUTV are live at the match now - Fred the Red on the pitch.

Incidentally, BBC News have just run an item from pitchside including a quick interview with Casey Stoney. I think the full Stoney interview is at:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47951108
They asked her on MUTV what she wanted from the last games and she said she wanted all of them to be wins.

1-0 Millie Turner header from a Greenwood corner.

We've been a bit scruffy looking so far tonight - probably because Zelem's not there. But can't complain about being a goal up after 6 minutes.
Their goalie is keeping Villa in the game.

Good to see we're up already. When we are in the WSL next season, what is the aim? Top six? We've breezed past most Championship teams and beaten Liverpool & narrowly losing to Reading (both being midtable). The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and City will be hard to compete against straight away.

Only recently started following our ladies team! Smashing it apart! The meb should take some notes from them. 3 0 already! Promotion almost a cert!

Yes, I think we're looking at joining the chasing pack, alongside teams like Reading and Birmingham, for places in the top 6.

To get in with the big three, we need a bit more strength in key positions. A bit more consistency in midfield, a bit more precision in attack against good defences, fewer concentration lapses against good forwards. Sounds familiar?

Whether that extra oomph will come from new signings or it can come from our talented youngsters growing up - I guess we wait and see. If England have a good WC, I wouldn't be surprised to see United go shopping.
