Honestly if he furfills his potential from a youngster he will be a fantastic wingback. Probably a bit too defensively suspect for a flat back four though (unless we're chasing a game and/or playing a shit house team).
Held back by annoying injuries sadly. Seems like he's just stood still for 2 years while his peers and younger age groups have passed him by, but yeah he's another really good prospect.Honestly if he furfills his potential from a youngster he will be a fantastic wingback. A good thing is he played with James at youth level with him a wingback and the latter a RCB, so a rapport is already there if/when they play those roles at first team level.Held back by annoying injuries sadly. Chelsea became selling club.. 58 mn already still will sell Abraham,Barkley, emerson may be zouma and Loftus-cheek too.Moses £4.5m
Giroud £1.5m
Tomori £26m
Guehi £18m
Ugbo £5m (Rumoured)
Bate £1.5m
Simeu £1.5m
Total £58m
And Zappacosta. Probably others I've forgotten too. We really have built up a big pile of players we're not really using.Chelsea became selling club.. 58 mn already still will sell Abraham,Barkley, emerson may be zouma and Loftus-cheek too.
Yes that's only difference between real selling club who sold their priced assets but we offload players we don't have intention to use for first team. And Zappacosta. Probably others I've forgotten too. We really have built up a big pile of players we're not really using.

Abraham looks broken when the confirmation come through. This is awesome to watch. Tuchel has the losing team in the drill to perform Backstreet Boys songs for the winning team at dinner.

It’s sell them, loan them until they leave for free or extend their contracts and get stuck with them like United tend to do. We are doing the right thing for us and the player.Yes that's only difference between real selling club who sold their priced assets but we offload players we don't have intention to use for first team.
RLC and Barkley must be difficult to shift, no? They're both on a reported £110k-£120k a week.Chelsea became selling club.. 58 mn already still will sell Abraham,Barkley, emerson may be zouma and Loftus-cheek too.
RLC will tempt someone. Reports today that Everton and West Ham are both interested in Barkley too.RLC and Barkley must be difficult to shift, no? They're both on a reported £110k-£120k a week.

Chelsea have confirmed there was a positive caseThe friendly agasint Drogheda last night was called off due to a Covid scare in the training camp.
They've not said if anyone tested positive.
Indeed.I must say im totally relaxed about this window and dont get the panic among our fans re. signings. Its 23rd July. Players in the euros arent all back, and we have history of doing incoming business after our tours/camps are over.
Plenty of time left, lads
Chelsea still lagging in midfield in my opinion. We have kante jorginho and kovasic in midfield. Billy loaned out if any injury or suspension we will be really very thin in that department. Rlc and Barkley not good enough to play there as no 6.Indeed.
To be honest, if we don't sign a single player I wouldn't be that bothered.
We have a massive squad who just won the Champions League. Unless the player coming in is a clear upgrade then there's not much point.
absolutely certain we will sign 2 or 3, but its far far too soon to be concerned. Over a month left.Indeed.

Look like we are looking for cm Declan rice or tchouameni will come in or tuchel decide to go with bakayoko as option. Striker department have no clue. One defender may be.absolutely certain we will sign 2 or 3, but its far far too soon to be concerned. Over a month left.

I think we're all intrigued to see who comes in, but it seems pretty clear the club aren't just going to rest of their laurels. Everyone seems to understand that there's a sizeable gap to be made up to catch City in the league.I’m genuinely intrigued to see which striker Chelsea bring in. Because if it isn’t a Haaland or a Kane, then I don’t fancy them for major honours with going with Werner again or Havertz as a false striker.
Winning the champions league could give them a false sense of security in thinking they have adequate resources. They seriously need a striker.

I agree. I think we need a new striker but if we can't get the right one for the right price i'd be happy with our current squad. Trim down and continue clearing out all the mistakes of previous windows and build up the pot for when the right players do come alongI don't really see any reason to panic in this window.
I prefer the club to approach the market only gunning for the cream of the crop of European football. We have a more than good enough current squad and a steady supply of very talented academy players to not waste any resources on 3rd or 4th choice targets if the main targets aren't gettable this summer.
Kane is a nonstarter so forget him, but if we can't get Haaland or Lukaku, then my preference would to be to sign no strikers this summer and go with what we have. The same applies to other positions.
I don't agree with the idea that Chelsea can't improve without any new signings. We've already invested a lot into many young talented players and the expectation is to see continuous improvements from them, the likes of Havertz, Pulisic, Mount, James, CHO, Werner, Chilwell etc.

That's big problem whenever we won we failed to build upon that. We really failed to build better team around hazard. If Jose or conte got players to improve first team we would have challenged city following seasons and gave a real shot at CL with hazard. We failed hazard and his talent by refused to build a better team around him and not justified his talents. Now we should not stagnate and do same thing for havertz too.I don't really see any reason to panic in this window.

Yeah I don't think we should panic buy or settle for someone just because he is available. I think we're in a nice situation we can afford to be really picky about who we buy.I agree. I'm not saying don't build on last season's success. Improving the team from a position of strength is definitely better than being reactionary after a poor season, but what if we can't get Haaand or Lukaku in this window? Would you advocate for the signing of someone like Ings or Aubameyang for example just for the sake of bringing in *a* striker? That's big problem whenever we won we failed to build upon that. Of course we already have very good young hungry team and players who can improve lot such as havertz, ziyech,Werner and cho. We should not let ourselves down in my opinion.
Need to back tuchel in every way board can.If we want to challenge city then striker is must who can score and contribute 25-30 goals.I will be happy if Werner or havertz provided that. But can't build a competitive team without competition for places.
No I don't even think haaland or Lukaku. We can easily bring striker worth the money. Low profile but fit into tuchel s style of play.Yeah I don't think we should panic buy or settle for someone just because he is available. Fair enough, my general point was just whoever Chelsea's targets are (all the reports do suggest that it's Haaland #1 and Lukaku #2), we should do what we can to bring in one of those, but we can't I'd prefer to go with what we have rather than settling for players who weren't our top choices. No I don't even think haaland or Lukaku. Lukaku I will certainly not want to bring him. Haaland though every one raving about him and his ability i am not warming towards him.
If tuchel believes in any striker other than those two I am all in for that. A striker who can provide 15 goals 5-10 assists is all I want.Werner certainly capable of that. Havertz too.
So one more striker with havertz and Werner improving further will provide very good option in rotation, injury concerns and all. If broja be that striker then so be it if tuchel thinks he can be very good. But certainly need more goals if we want to challenge city.
