Done it three times now:

Jose Mourinho got sacked on 19 September 2007 and Avram Grant took them to the 2008 CL final.

AVB got sacked on 4 March 2012. Di Matteo took over and won the CL. Also won the FA Cup.

Lampard sacked on 21 January 2021. Won the CL with Tuchel.

And the last two times they got to the CL final the managers who got them there were out shortly after as well, wonder if it'll be third time lucky for Tuchel

Says a lot about Chelsea's personnel.

The real worry was hiring a proper coach to galvanise the players into a team, getting the best out of Kante, etc. Tuchel has done that.

People do not realise how self driven those two Chelsea teams were. It was like 11 coaches on the field. Not to take away from Grant or Di Matteo, but they were teams who had it.
Tuchel got a great squad but he deserves more credit. Simply astonishing to do what he has done so quickly.
