It’s one thing to think the CL was a fluke, but to struggle for top 4? As above, Arsenal and Spurs are nowhere near the other ‘big 4’ at the moment. Leicester are probably comfortably the 5th best, but they’re still behind Chelsea in depth and manager quality.

Agree but we will be in the minority. Also Real Madrid would have obliterated them in the Semis any other time, Chelsea caught them at the perfect time.

I completely disagree. New manager bounce often makes teams look great offensively, having a great squad and looking frighteningly solid defensively is not gonna be temporary. Tuchel is a world-class manager and he will prove it.

Nah I don't think they'll struggle for top 4, but I do agree the people saying they are miles ahead of us are delusional and severely overrating a cup run that was largely backed on a defensive system and set up.

I think they’ll get top 4 but I don’t think they have any chance of winning the league even by signing Lukaku.

They need a lot more investment than they have done so far. The UCL win has clouded people’s judgement. Let’s not forget they were out of the top 4 until leciester messed up on the last day.

Tuchel put Chelsea where they were under Conte, then had them press all over the pitch, and drag opponents around with Mount and Warner etc. They have good delivery from wide and it suits Lukaku.

Top 4 will be competitive as always, even more...but come on. Chelsea perform well as a group and function really well with 3 at the back.

A lot of that had to do with Lampard being incompetent and a lack of a goal threat up top.

Not sure how Mount continues to develop in terms of his creativity, but he's an important cog in how Chelsea plays as a team.

I actually was all for sacking Ole and getting Tuchel a couple of months back
It was fairly obvious from watching PSG a few times that he was a tactical wizard.

They have great forward players and Kante is world class. Players like Rudiger and Azpli are fine and definitely not average within the context of the league.
