I didn't know Loye had signed until the other day. I've seen Iain Sutcliffe & Loye - both inconsistent but on their day capable (especially Loye) of very big innings. I'm pretty hopeful that both will boost the squad now Fairbrother & Lloyd have gone - they both had crap seasons last year.
Bad news is that Harbajan is injured and may miss the summer - Lancs are angry because he's clearly had the problem a while, but it's only just come to light. They were trying to get Murali back, but Sri Lanka blocked it.
It's now 235-2 (Loye's 50+ and Law 34) Sutcliffe out for 70. Swann got 50 odd, so he's continuing to shape up well.

arnie side bottom ..In England Why cricket doesn't has the big publicity like football.In Lords for example they are not allowing the fans to bring flags and celebrate.Is it due to the conservative attitude of the people running the game over there in England?.
No mate - it's to do with the fact that no one really gives a toss about county cricket, especially the county championship.

Far fewer schools devote time and resources to cricket than 20 years ago. Plus 20 years ago a cricket ground was one of the few public places where you could drink all day. Just a few obsessives left now !
