I hope Berrada and Ashworth brought their laptops into their gardens on Sunday-Monday and stumbled over a google meet link that Brailsford sent them both by mistake.

That no matter what the result is tomorrow a interim replacement is announced after the match that's already been preparing how to set the team up against City on Sunday.

It's important to Ineos to have an as effective first full season as possible to show that they mean business, and best way for them to achieve that is with the CL funds to make enough changes (while complying with ffp).
Looking at how we've been playing this season I don't think Ten Hag is able to get enough points from the last 12 matches where we need to catch up to 6-8 points. His tactics doesn't seem to work in the prem, and nothing he's tried seems to change that, and we don't have time to wait for him to try something else. I really wanted it to work with him, but even if he's somehow able to sneak CL in the end now I don't trust him to lead us next season, so why even give him the benefit of doubt to see if he's able to turn it around now.

Heard it before.

The CL position will be what makes or breaks him more than an FA Cup run I reckon.
First time I have felt it with him and Sir Jim has recently said already they want to try and get CL this year.

Don't think De Zerbi is the answer. Another flash in the pan.
They are all either a punt, or stubborn with a boring style in my opinion. Can't think of a single manager ticking most the boxes.

I think he’ll be gone if we lose to Forest
I highly doubt it. I’d be extremely surprised.

CL qualification is still technically on, even though we all know it won’t realistically be achieved

Also there has been no serious talk from serious journos in the media about his job being at risk.

What it might do is make Ineos decide they’ll change things in May

I don’t have it to hand. But you could search for it, it’s no more than 3 months old.
So you can't provide it.

If you mean the Atheltic's long piece: Special report: Inside the Manchester United football operation INEOS stands to inherit...it's not there.

I believe Phil Lynch is the guy responsible for that meme of our prominent players, posting grovelling social media posts when we lose, and the guy who gauges fan sentiment and tries to manipulate it.

With how the Glazers have worked, I imagine he’s the first guy to tell them over the years when a manager is failing even though everyone else noticed long before.

I personally think this is a good thing and demonstrates INEOS mean business. It seems like a very specialised role created by the Glazers and their money grubbing ways and under the supposed INEOS sporting excellence route, it’s a redundant role since I can’t see them needing a glorified social media spin doctor.

I can’t be bothered. I have a job and a life, neither of which involve archiving online Manchester United content.

If you put half as much effort into looking as you do asking others to do it for you, you might have some luck?

That's a long winded way of just admitting it doesn't exist.

Wonder when Ratcliffe and his team will sit down with ETH and talk about an actual style of play. What is it??

One of the names we were linked with for the Sporting Director role, Lee Congerton is leaving Atalanta for Al-Ahli, so that's one less person in the frame for the job.

First wobble for me under INEOS, missed by most but SJR said wed hear about the stadium plans this week.
Weve only heard about a pie in the sky 20 year plan from the council on the area.

This was mentioned in the BBC interview, said something like "well hear next week on the stadium plans" doesnt seem like theres anything pending.

He was talking about regeneration of the area and consulting with people on it, no? I don't think he said we'd hear about the stadium this week.

Just a tad OTT? Patience and resolve.

Plays better football than Erik
Easy to do when you manage Brighton and have tons of rooms for mistakes, whipping your players into shape etc.

Besides that though, he's also not that good.

I'm recommending @rimaldo for the job
thank you for this opportunity. i shan’t let you down.

the first thing i’ll do is get the backing of the players. t’hag was far too strict for modern footballers, and rather than denying them a day off after a defeat, i will demand they take every day off before the next game. that time away from the training pitch will make them question how much they want to be a footballer.

after the first loss, they’ll all take the whole time off. a second loss will surely follow as a result. again, they take the full week. after the third loss they start to question themselves, “i thought i was better than this. all those evenings driving to training with dad. all those cold sundays at a shit park, getting stabbed or nonced up. for this?” they’ll start to turn up to training, even though they don’t have to. they’ll start to bicker when someone isn’t trying hard enough. they’ll start to hold each other to account. soon enough they’re setting their own standards, team fines, human sacrifices for the worst trainer that week. then comes a win, then two, before long they’re on a long unbeaten run. the glory days are back.

all that time away from the training pitch will also allow me to take a second job on. even though i’m extremely well paid as a premier league manager, it’s one that i’ll need, just to survive (thanks, starmer’s britain.)
