Yeah ziyech made more sense, this doesn't. Sancho, Martial, Rashford all can comfortably play from the left it makes no sense to add another player who is more comfortable on the left. You would think it would never happen but we did sign Sanchez in similar circumstances. If this is true then our squad planning is horrendous.Isn't Gakpo a left winger primarily? We surely have enough players who like to cut in from the left, no?
If Sancho gets injured then we are left with Elanga. I say we need another player who is comfortable on the right as Sancho can play both wings comfortably.Move Sancho right, play this guy left
They’re all left wingers. Why are we stacked on the left? We’ve got Rashford and who else? Whereas we’ve got Sancho & Elanga for the right.
From the article: Gakpo has been compared to both Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie in that he is a tall, elegant performer who has become a central striker after starting his career as a winger.Isn't Gakpo a left winger primarily? Doesn't play in Eredivisie therefore not a targetDanjuma would be a better option !!
Don’t think that’s true. He’s played out wide left all last season and he’s started this season in the same place. Luuk de Jong uptop. From the article: Gakpo has been compared to both Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie in that he is a tall, elegant performer who has become a central striker after starting his career as a winger.
There’s something about him that just makes you think he knows how to get in scoring positions. Very smart player despite the lack of pace.Doesn't he play LW? We're stacked on the left and IMO he's a poor man's Rashford. Not particularly quick and won't be able to beat PL fullbacks.
They’re just not. They’re all left wingers.
They are all better suited to the left. However, Sancho is the odd one out in the sense that he is pretty damn great in both positions. They’re just not.
Our squad planning is horrendous. We have a bunch of players who like to play at #10 and #11, no #6s, a bunch of left backs. Its literally throw it at the wall and see what sticks stuff.Yeah ziyech made more sense, this doesn't. Sancho, Martial, Rashford all can comfortably play from the left it makes no sense to add another player who is more comfortable on the left. So, basically, he's another Memphis Depay? From the article: Gakpo has been compared to both Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie in that he is a tall, elegant performer who has become a central striker after starting his career as a winger.
Rashford is our left winger , of course we doHalf the price of antony but a left winger. Not sure we needed him.
I would say right winger more. That way we would have Rashford who xan play on the left and a new winger who can play on the right. We should be using Sancho's ability to play both wings to our advantage. If Rashford gets injured Sancho can play left, if the the right winger gets injured Sancho can play right. But if we get a left winger if Sancho himself gets injured we either play Rashford, Elanga or the new winger who is probably also not comfortable on the right.Let’s hope this one is true.
You guys do realise if Sancho is on the right. Rashford plays on the left? So we actually need a first team left or right winger eitherway.
A poor man’s Rashford . That’s a new one for the cafDoesn't he play LW? We're stacked on the left and IMO he's a poor man's Rashford. Not particularly quick and won't be able to beat PL fullbacks.
Was going to say, I've seen quite a few say he'll be a CF. If I remember right, somebody compared him to RVP?This makes me happy. I see Gakpo as a future world class #9 personally. Great talent.
Sancho isn’t better from the left and never has been. I agree he can play there well but his best career footballs been from the right, last season he just in down the left because Greenwood was on the right & Rashford was playing so poorly on the left. Elanga can play both sides fine but his best for us has come from the right. Rashford can only play left I tend to agree. They are all better suited to the left. However, Sancho is the odd one out in the sense that he is pretty damn great in both positions.
Is it just me that gets Rashford vibes off these clips?
Isn't Sesko a striker and Gakpo a left winger?I wonder is this the backup plan if Sesko decides to go elsewhere
Yes but the headline insinuates that long term future is CFIsn't Sesko a striker and Gakpo a left winger?
