Why is it that we are the only fan-base that seems to do this? Especially in a way that seems to praise one player by offending another.
People are already planning our side for next year based on 2 weeks of football post-lockdown; saying Martial will be on the bench, or Rashford will be on the bench for a player that we haven't even signed. Do Liverpool fans do this for Salah, Mane and Firmino? Or City fans considering the depth of attackers they have?
Just find this a very annoying thing from our fans in particular. Not sure why we can't just be excited about the young forwards we have. I recall times when we had Berbatov, Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez and Nani as very positive despite the competition.
