This would be the most bizarre transfer since Chelsea sold him for £50M. At 29, it's very questionable whether he will ever address the flaws in his game.

Needs to happen.

City with Stones, Chelsea with Luiz

Woody should agree to fund a % of the deal if they want to buy him and need some help.

So conflicted. Loved him as a personality and he's brilliant at times. He's just prone to idiotic moments and is nearly 30 now.

But honestly, with all 3 of Kante, Matic, and Oscar in front of the defense it may be worth a risk.

Call me mad, but i think Conte will turn him into a bloody good CB. Conte will demand discipline and sort his silly errors out

How good is Blind looking right now when you consider ball playing centrebacks in the prem. How much of a bargain is Bailly looking too!

A bit of an overpay considering the age, but makes sense, especially if Conte wants to play 3 at the back like at Juventus and with Italy. They've been getting quoted crazy prices for younger CBs and with this little time left in the window getting in a player who knows the PL isn't a terrible idea.

He is a good footballer, but lacked discipline to be a CB. Always looked decent in CDM. Thats why i think Conte is more or less perfect for him.

It wont happen though, unless PSG genuinely do not want him at all.

Never understood why English fans seem to think this guy is rubbish and yet rave on about the likes of Stones, Smalling, etc.

Luiz is one of the best CBs in the world. He's not the same type of CB as Godin, Chiellini or Silva... but he'd basically be the dream partner for those guys. You need balance in the partnership. That's why Rio and Vidic worked so well. They were different kinds of CBs.

Theres a reason Luiz is worth 50m. There's not many CBs out there like him. Personally, I'd love to have him at United. But I suppose I'm gonna get slated for this opinion.

Do it, you bastards. Bring him back. And then you can go back to telling yourselves that it doesn't matter that he doesn't have the first clue how to defend.

It's a shame he's shit, he has all the tools to be one of the best.

I don't rate Luiz or Stones, I rate Smalling though

Stones gets a hell of a lot of criticism too.

I could be wrong, but Simon Jones of the Mail always copies news from elsewhere without quoting them. So eventhough, it appears to be a Mail exclusive, it's likely from another source that is perhaps reliable.

Edit: Just seen it on Sky Sports so yeah.

Wanted to kick him for this though

He could clearly play as part of a back three.

Chelsea would be better off sticking with a back four and buying a wing back though.

If this happens he would have cost over £100 million in transfer fees

If this is true its the second most important piece of business for United after Pogba.

When you say that he's not the same 'type of CB as Godin, Chiellini or Silva', I'm going to assume you mean the type that actually knows how to defend.

He's a liability and was never worth the £50m PSG paid for him in the first place but one club's idiocy doesn't suddenly mean that is his actual value. Chelsea couldn't believe their luck when they were offered that sort of money for him.
