The fact that Everton nabbed Ancelotti for a couple of years enters and messes with my head on a weekly basis. It’s an example how sacking a manager mid season can work, because there’s a chance a manager could be available who you’d never otherwise get

Any others? Good or bad

In before any of our post-Fergie managers get mentioned.

Probably doesn’t quite fit this thread, but the fact that Roberto Di Matteo won the Champions League with Chelsea is still so weird to me. He’s done absolutely nothing else of note in his managerial career. Wikipedia tells me he’s now a technical advisor for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in South Korea.

He is always good argument when people overrate these new managers based on one decent season in league or Europe competition.

Benitez at RM, not a bad manager or anything, just a complete mismatch, one of Perez "forgotten" bad ideas.

Neither good or bad but just have no recollection of him even being there.

I pretty sure Ancelotti was just keeping his eye in, because he left pretty swiftly once Madrid came calling.

I swear I heard on a podcast that he called Madrid about some potential transfer business, found out the job was about to become available, and he basically hung up and resigned his post.

A lot of Real's former managers can go in this list. Apparently Guus Hiddink coached them at one point?! I had no idea.

Sir Alex managing Scotland seems a forgotten part of his career.
