He's starting tonight. Looked his stats up: 10 league goals in the 3 years since he's returned to Atletico for an alleged £59.4m fee, 17 goals overall in those 3 seasons.

Has he totally flopped on his return, have injuries played a part? He's had the usual suspensions for scummy behaviour but not the goals that justify keeping him on the team sheet. He's 32 in October. How did Chelsea sell him and Luiz for over £100m?

Morata's stats aren't as bad as Costa's; 23 league goals in the past 2 seasons, 31 goals overall.

Maybe age is catching up to him but Altleti as a team don't score that many anyway.The 3 teams beneath them in the league all scored more than them and even the team in 7th was just 1 behind. His record at Chelsea was fantastic, 2x 20 goal league campaigns in 3 seasons. For comparison Drogba only had 2 seasons where he scored 20 or more goals in the league in 8 seasons.

Wow I totally forgot he exists and had no idea Atletico paid 60 mil € to bring him back from Chelsea.
Must be one of the worst transfers ever.
