List of players who may not be in the squad:

LIVERPOOL
Gomes, TAA, Henderson, Ox
CHELSEA
James, Chilwell, Mount, Abraham, CHO
ARSENAL

Doesn't leave us with much of a team!

Good thought experiment. I'm a couple of years with no FM and don't watch all that much football these days so this'll be quite the assortment.

Pope
Aarons - Godfrey - Tarkowski - Mee
Ward Prowse - Phillips
Bowen - Lingard - Zaha
DCL

Give it'Jesse.

Having done very little actual consideration, I would go for something like;

------------------Pope
Aarons - Smalling - Godfrey - Justin
------------Rice ----- Phillips
Sancho ------ Madison ----- Grealish
---------------- DCL

Also worth mentioning - Vardy, Lookman, Adarabioyo, Bertrand, Zaha, Bellingham

Not a bad team by any stretch.

And beg Vardy to come out of retirement. I wonder what this would mean for Lingard? would he be considered a West ham player or United player??

I cannot imagine players will be banned at all despite all the bluster from UEFA, they are blameless and they are also unionised so give it your best shot Ceferin but you will lose hard. I certainly don't see it happening for this summers Euros. The ESL does not yet exist nor have any games been played so how can you penalise a player for possibly playing in a competition that does not yet exist at some future date. Fairly sure someone with a law degree bought on ebay could win that argument.

Agreed. The threats are to scare the ESL clubs back into line. Players will never in a million years be affected unless it actually happens.

Funny thing is it won't scare the ESL clubs at all, they would love for their players to be banned from international competition.
ESL Clubs: We'll make our own Euros! With black-jack! And hookers!

Thinking up of my next genius thread
Pope
Lamptey - Smalling - Coady - Cresswell
Bellingham - Rice
Sancho - Maddison - Grealish
Bamford

Add in Harvey Barnes, Watkins, Phillips, Calvert Lewin and a few others it isn't that much worse than the normal squad I think. Maybe 15% worse, just lack of depth + superstars but may play better as a team.

I think Danny Ings gets in over Bamford in my opinion. Providing he doesn't move to City in the summer.

Literally forgot about Smalling’s existence until this thread. Apparently he and his family got robbed recently!

Don't think they could ban the players, but there's a possibility that the national FAs, the majority of whom seem to dislike this as much as UEFA, could agree to not call up players from the Terrible Twelve.

Have some fun with the thread.

And for those not putting Lamptey in your teams, you're nuts!
