I cannot imagine players will be banned at all despite all the bluster from UEFA, they are blameless and they are also unionised so give it your best shot Ceferin but you will lose hard. I certainly don't see it happening for this summers Euros. The ESL does not yet exist nor have any games been played so how can you penalise a player for possibly playing in a competition that does not yet exist at some future date. Fairly sure someone with a law degree bought on ebay could win that argument.

Agreed. The threats are to scare the ESL clubs back into line. Players will never in a million years be affected unless it actually happens.

Don't think they could ban the players, but there's a possibility that the national FAs, the majority of whom seem to dislike this as much as UEFA, could agree to not call up players from the Terrible Twelve.
