It’s way too early to draw conclusions. We know the players aren’t the best so it is daft to expect them to play much better after two games.Either ETH thinks he can build a decent team with the players he has or he has not been backed by the Glazers. Either way he is toast. We know that the players are not good enough and if ETH is to do a Pep or Klopp he would need to get 3-4 quality players in during the next 3 windows. Not happening. Panic buying Rabiot or Arnautovic says it all. This is Moyes and Fellaini all over again. ETH thinks he can dominate teams a la Ajax. I was afraid of this situation and he was not prepared by the high standards of the PL. I see no signs that he can build a decent defence. If we can't scout players I don't think we can scout managers. He will probably try to beat Pool by playing possession football with Eriksen as no 6 and Maguire in a high line.
It seems likely to me that we’ll be playing better in October than we are now, whether we get more signings or not.
Unless we’re going to start sacking managers after two games, I suggest we let him do his job, his way, and review things in a year.
