Euro 2020 Tickets

"Your ticket application was unsuccessful"

Probably for the best, I applied for about 6k worth, not knowing i needed to pay for everything . They probably thought i was a tout...
Yeah, a friend applied for 4 tickets each in 10 matches and obviously all of them were unsuccessful.

No, they're hosting it across Europe to celebrate the 50th (?) anniversary of the competition. Semi Finals and Final in London.
Cheers mate! That seems fun! I imagine Lisbon must be hosting some games I would hope.

partial success here..my application of 2 tickets for amsterdam game got approved, rest 2 got rejected :(

got 4 for Dublin on 30th June

rejected for rest - really wanted Munich on 3rd

Applied for all the matches in Dublin but got none. Demand must be through the roof. Thought I would get one at least!
I applied for 3 dublin games, 4 tickets each and got them all. So did my mum. We're sitting here with 24 tickets at a total cost of €3000

  1. Look out for Fans First emails to arrive in your inbox soon!
  2. Stay aware and be ready to attack – you might even score tickets to the final!
  3. Get warmed up and be ready to act fast - tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis!
Thats what happens to the tickets people don’t pay for!? Only feckers pushing F5 all day get the tickets?

I'll exhaust my options but if worst comes to worst I'll just get some tout tickets for the England group games at Wembley. I applied for category 1 tickets and was unsuccessful but I imagine the category 3 seats won't be touted for that much more than what I was originally prepared to pay - maybe £200? The category of seats means nothing too. For England vs Croatia in Moscow my category 1 seats were pretty terrible so I just found a better seat in another area. In the same stadium my category 3 seats were brilliant and cost nearly 3 times less.

Got some Glasgow and Amsterdam group matches and Wembley and Dublin Round of 16 plus a semi-final (England if we win the group).

Azerbaijan....oh ffs.

Got 2 tickets each for 3 games in Bilbao. Would use tickets for 2 games myself but does anyone know if they really check the names at the gates? In t&c they state that the leading person who bought the tickets should be present.

depends on the stadium/local authorities, no? At least that's what I see in my payment confirmation email.

I wanted Bilbao but got none. :(

They don't. They never do. Too much faff. Most football fans get to the stadium at the same time and they just want everyone with a ticket to get in as smoothly as possible.

I'd add to that - there will be official ticket exchanges in the city. The tickets you buy from them aren't new and printed with your name - they are the same physical ticket as the one which was returned to the shop with some other dudes name. That's what has happened in the last World Cup and Euros and I imagine it would continue..

Thanks, I thought they shouldn't bother to check names but as I never been in Euros I wasn't sure.

I might just have 2 tickets that I don't need :)

It’s weird I’ve seen plenty of people that got all the games they applied for and as a result can’t afford to buy them as they didn’t anticipate getting them all (not saying this is the case for you).

I applied for them all thinking I would get one or two but like many wouldn’t have been able afford them all now in one go. Would have been handy if they spread out the tickets a bit rather than awarding them all to some people and none at all to others.

I think they split it somehow as my application was "partially successful". I applied for games in London, Bilbao and Rome however I only got tickets to Bilbao.

Oh i can only afford one game. So I'll have to turn down 20 tickets.

I applied for every dublin game including the round of 16 thinking i had no chance.

Applied for all bar one wembley game.
Got nothing.

Relaxed. Might have a chance of some returns but at least tried which would have been madness not to living 30mins away.

Awesomeness got 4 tickets CAT A to 1/8 finals in Budapest and Bucharest the 28th and 29th June. Just checked the prices for accommodation in Romania. Flat cost 100 euros for 2 night.

How did I miss this :( didn’t even enter the ballot.

Does anyone know if the unwanted tickets go back on general sale or back into a pot for only those who entered initial ballot?

Anyone interested in 2 for Dublin
Friday 19th June €370 for the pair FV...drop me a message. Cheers

Those who didn’t get tickets first time round are prioritised in the second round of the ballot. First come first served.

Isn't there likely to be a resale phase come spring next year?

Usually there tickets from people who in months leading up to the tournament decided they can't go and sell them at face value on an official UEFA ticket portal. Apparantly a lot of people got tickets that way for Euro 2016.

I didn't apply for this initial phase but I'm still hoping its possible get tickets later.

Applied cheapest to all wembley. Got for one group game and one of the semis.

We have a week to pay right? Hopefully I'll be able to sell the spare ones if I need to.

Yes from March 2020 onwards there will be resales and sales of unwanted VIP tickets etcetera.

There is also the ballot in December for supporters of countries that have qualified, providing you are eligible to apply from whatever criteria your FA sets out (eg. supporter caps/points/match history, or just an address or passport from that country). Also in April is the ballot for the supporters of the last four countries that qualify through the March playoffs.

This is on top of however they sell the unpaid tickets from this phase once the eighteen-day payment window has passed (supposedly quick firesales announced via email, more info may be released closer to the time).

Hi Folks,

A friend of mine and I, registered in Portugal+(Portugal FA fan thing it seems).
We got access codes, using these access codes, we bought tickets for 2 matches.
What we have received is a payment confirmation. Saying that we have paid and that the purchases is confirmed. The mail also has an attached invoice.
The mail says that the tickets will be delivered in May.
Does this mean that I have confirmed tickets? Or does it mean that we have paid and then we will enter another ballot for the tickets?

I am a little amazed/surprised that we were able to get tickets through Portgual+ for matches like, Germany Vs Portugal and Portgual Vs France. When we are India based Indians, who have never attended an international football match including any european teams. I thought Portugal + will have a long list of Portuguese fans with a history of travel for the national team who will be given preference, like season tickets holders(who buy cup game tickets too) get preference for cup final games etc.

Does anyone have clarity on all this?

If you have an email sayting tickets will be posted and the money has been taklen I think it's safe to say you have tickets.

There are no games in Portugal and Portugal is a relatively small country without huge travelling support.

Just got my tickets for group stages. Fair old trek out to Baku coming up

Wasn’t prepared to spend £70 to englands travel supporter group JUST to be able to be in the raffle for England tickets.

When did you apply? did you apply through an access code?
Have you gotten the confirmation or the actual ticket?
I applied through a faw access code yes. I’ve got a pdf of ticket confirmation for both Baku group games

Thanks.
I have a mail with subject "ticket purchase confirmation".
The body of the mail confirms that my payment is done.
The PDF attached is an invoice.pdf
This PDF has details of payment and the match and the category of tickets. Does not have names of the all the ticket owners of this ticket.

I hope this is the same thing that you got.

Thanks.

Can't apply since my team isn't qualified although I'd like to catch the München group games even though my team would only play there once if they'd make it. Maybe I'd follow my team since they'd start with 2 Budapest matches and finish in München which is better than Portugal who have to go back and forth.

Switzerland and Austria really got the short end of the stick in regards to traveling.
