Oh nice. Didn’t know that. He should join Bolt in one of those unicef/celebrity (if he hasn’t already!) football matches!
He played in a few a few years ago. Looked okay actually.

No, it's your opinion. We did enough to win. They scored 2 fluke goals, the retarded thugs.
You did enough to win? When? You drew the previous game and you lost this one! If that's how you define "we did enough to win", then it explains why you have not won anything in Europe since... forever.

I feel sorry Wenger because he's not getting his swansong but not for Arsenal though, it epitimizes their season really. I would have been fecking sick if they had won and qualified for CL and we fail in both our routes to qualify. And for that reason alone I wanted them to go out.

Not sure where this narrative has come from that Arsenal deserved to win tonight. That's horse shit. Well contested battle with both teams having opportunities and each having their period of dominance. Madrid played some lovely stuff and defended well and, oh yeah, scored the only goal of the game. There were period of that game where Madrid were swarming over Arsenal.

Deserved to win my ars...enal.

Chin up Arsenal fans, you'll get another crack at the same trophy next season.
Nice to see you, was very concerned after you were nowhere to be seen after the FA Cup semi final.

And also hahahaha Arsenal:lol: The transition into becoming the new Everton is well under way now.

He played in Mallorca's youth teams and his uncle started and ended his career with that club.
Always found it odd. Would've thought he'd have supported Barca given his uncle was a legend there in the 90s when he was growing up.

What’s sadder than Arsenal being Arsenal every year for the past 15 years is the fact that their fans must be some of the saddest bunch in the world. You have to have a certain characteristic to support something that has talent yet lack of heart and desire

Sad to see Atletico Madrid playing in the EL when they are a better team than Roma who reached the semi finals of the CL.

This game was the epitome of why Wenger is out. Arsenal is completely bereft of any quality and creativity. Painful to watch. Compare that team to the teams of the late 90s or early 2000s. The current squad isn't fit to shine their shoes. all the while why isn't Wenger spending any money? You would think Arsenal was a poor club the way they chince on players.

God himself wouldn't be able to make this Arsenal squad play decent.

Absolute poverty of quality everywhere. Their results fully reflect that.

They've won plenty of FA cups to soften the goal.

Tonight was predictable Arsenal though.

Thought they competed well first half and taking 0-0 into half time would've been a big confidence boost but instead they fall asleep last 30 seconds and concede another cheap goal.

Second half Atleti just let them have the ball and waited for them to open up and Arsenal barely created a clear cut chance, so many overhit crosses.

Arsenal just aren't good enough at this level anymore really. A season or two out of europe might not be the worst thing for them to properly rebuild.

I think Atletico always thought (rightly or wrongly) that they had that under control - looked like the more assured side to me, possibly with an extra gear attacking-wise if they needed it.

Arsenal's crossing got defended against far too easy - they had enough crossing opportunities to create something, but never did.

Better team won.

Cause Europa League is sooo easy to win.

Just because Jose made it look so easy, does not mean everyone can do it.
