I just looked at the WC qualifying tables at Soccernet and there doesn't appear to be a Serbian team. There is Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia (who have already qualified) and Macedonia - but no Serbia. There is however Yugoslavia. What's up with that 007 ? I thought Serbia was a country and all. ;)

Whats your point ?
Delije are the best fans in the world and the greeks are far from a class national team.

BTW 007, I am sure you are going to have a great time watching the Croats (and possibly the Slovenes) at the World Cup next year.

What makes it so great is that the Yugos were eliminated by the Slovanes. Poetic justice. There must be a God! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Becks,
In all honesty Crvena did rule. Believe it or not I saw the semifinal Bayern-Zveza in the stadium (1990?; I'm bad with dates) when Zvezda won 2-1. Savicevic and Pancev scored in Munich. I think the game in Belgrade was a tie, and Zvezda ended up winning EC. (Oh btw Savic was really jealous of me :) )

That was a good fecking team. The only team that could face up to the "invincible" Milan. Too bad the war broke that team up. :(

Yeh it was a brilliant team. But we found it hard to hold on2 our players from big European clubs.

World Champions in 91, then semi finalists in Euro Cup year after.
Should have done much much more with that team.

They played Milan the previous year (or maybe 89)when Milan had Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard.. the whole nine yards. Crvena tied 1-1 in S.Siro and were winning 1-0 in Belgrade until the 70th minute, when the game had to be interrupted because of fecking FOG. AC was picked apart and didn't look like scoring. I remember that game well because I had placed a large bet on Zvezda.

They replayed two weeks later, and it finished 1-1. AC Milan progressed on penalties and went on to win the EC. I lost my fecking money. :(

It's not all doom and gloom.
Savicevic made it up for me when AC beat Barca in Athens '94. I bet against all odds for a AC victory, and I was expecting a 1-0 score or penalties again.

4-0 bro. Amazing!

Savicevic was an absolute doctor and IMO was AC's best player at that stage.
That goal he scored was awsome and ill never forget it.

Very funny.

And why do you refer to Savicevic as the doctor?
