Question.. .what is the difference between xyz team winning -1.5 (2 way game line) vs. -1 (3 way game line)... the odds are the same so I'm confused...
Are the odds the exact same though? There's a greater liquidity in the Asian (2 way) market than in the European/3 way market. Example from my bookie: United -1.5 is 1.92 but United -1 is only 1.86. Both options are the same but the Asian market dishes up better odds.
This is technically the same bet. The same way that betting a team with a -0.5 Asian handicap and betting them to win in the 1X2 market is the same bet. The Asian lines are almost always better due to their lower overround (the bookie's margin). The "European handicaps" (3-way) are typically only offered by the Euro/UK books which should be avoided anyway because they are useless to any serious bettor and shouldn't be supported due to their shameful approach to bookmaking (restricting/banning winning players etc.).
Random example for the Leverkusen v Mönchengladbach game later:
SBObet (one of the leading Asian companies which accepts very large bets causing their prices to be very 'sharp') offers 1.96 for Leverkusen -0.5 (1) and 1.98 (X2) for Gladbach +0.5. That's a super low overround of 1.53%.
William Hill (one of the biggest UK bookies) offers 1.88 - 3.90 - 3.70 in the 1X2 market. An overround of 5.85%! Betting these low-liquidity, inefficient markets will lose you a lot of money in the long run. Even these companies offer Asian lines now but in Hill's case they are actually even worse for this game. 1.85 - 1.85 is what I can bet in the -0.5/+0.5 market. An overround of 8.11%, what a joke.

Not on much sites but would be massive on RSB Berkane to win at 13/5. Correct price is 1/5. It's a hilarious error. Last week, William Hill accidentally priced todays game with last weeks prices (away game prices) for an hour. They pulled it but other bookmakers have all followed not realising its a massive error. Good luck if you can find it anywhere.

Isn't an 'obvious' error in this case so they can't palp. Every site has the same price, its an industry wide error, 100% won't be voided and if it is you'll win the case with IBAS and get paid.

It’s Africa, everyone loses away generally. Huge home bias, was an even game away as well which is incredibly rare. If 4/5 lasts til kick off, they’ll go to 1/4 within 5 minutes of kick off.
