Kelsey Grammer is back as Frasier after 20 years. First two episodes of the new series of “Frasier” are out today on Paramount Plus in England. Free trial upon sign up.

I personally loved them but appreciate that rebooting a great series without any of the previous supporting characters is going to be a hard sell for others. Niles in particular is a huge miss. Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney from Only Fools) also stars.

(Also this is my first post in 3 months and I don’t think anybody noticed)

Already a thread on this! If you hadn't abandoned us for 3 months you might have known.

Disappointing.

I liked it. Felt like Frasier.
yeah, I loved it and I hope they get more seasons.
I thought I wasn't going to like the new characters bar Lyndhurst's as he is just brilliant, but the other characters surprised me in a good way.

nice touch with John Mahoney at the end of the first episode as well.

I thought it was pretty much excellent - felt like they hit the old tone pretty much from the start and set things up quite well for the rest of the season.

Great to have it back.

I watched the first episode with very few expectations... And thought it was really good. Felt rather natural which is not easy when you take a well known character and place him in a totally new show with totally new characters.

Exactly. As others have said, great work to make it feel so familiar. I feared a Picard season one and two type 'modern reimagining' for modern audiences. It's unashamedly a 30 year old sitcom.

Felt like a relic of the past, will give the next few a go.

The John Mahoney bit at the end made me sad though, nice touch.

Young Niles is annoying as hell.
