where 'good' is mainly about the level they played at, despite.. (in your opinion)

I'll start

Scholes - tackling
Michael Owen - penalties, barely reached the GK sometimes
Dennis Wise - size, being a bellend
Manuel Almunia - not that great at getting in the way of shots on goal
Xhaka - first touch, tackling

Blind- too slow. I think if he had average pace could be close to being a great left back. His speed, rather lack of speed holds him back so much.

I think Xhaka is closer to being poor footy player with one or two good attributes than the opposite.

Especially left footed ones.
That's very true. I think it maybe that right footed players have to develop their left foot as there isn't always a left footed player to play on the left so they have to. In contrast, left footed players will only play on the left or as an inside forward so don't need to develop their other foot.

There’s a lot of things Depay could be accused of, but lack of dedication isn’t one of them. Always sounds incredibly driven and motivated in interviews and he’s in incredible physical shape. He’s just not that enough at football and his dedication to getting in the best possible shape has if anythin made him too bulky to be a nippy and tricky wide man

Draxler-guidance, Schalke had shit coaches for the years he was there. Never really had someone solid to guide him like Favre or Klopp

In the early days De Gea coming off his line. He barely ventured off the line. Ferdinand used to do overtime getting his head on balls that should have been the keepers.

Blind - pace
I swear if Blind had Valencia’s pace (and maybe physique) we would have one of the best left backs in the league
