People can go on about average k pass per minute or whatever but is the simple cause of our woe down to fatigue?

The constant football is hard on everyone and we are reliant on a small core. Have we simply lost our legs?

No, we’ve run out of luck. We won a lot of games this season playing shit on a stick football.

It is the same for other teams. Palace were missing their best player.

Maybe a bit bit no excuses for how poor we look. We weren't exactly flying early season. City have benefitted from their squad for sure but our problems are our own.

More like we've run out of luck. Once upon a time we'd have scored in the 87th minute.

This is not a one off performance, we've had loads. Usually Bruno or Pogba bail us though but it's not sustainable.

Lately yes. Ole deserves some of the blame for playing Rashford, Bruno etc against Sociedad when we were already 4 up.

A lot of our players certainly look jaded.

However, some of our problems were evident even when they were fit, so it's a mix of issues.

No, we are just not good enough. There should be a change and that should be Ole.

No Ole’s football is all about fine margins and is always going to be up and down, we’ve seen it every season he’s been in charge.

Question is can we stutter into top four, going to be tight and won’t beat 66 points by much.

When did we last have gas? This is modern football. Great clubs and teams handle the schedule.

Part of the problem is that we haven’t got enough easy wins. How many times did we kill a game in the first half? We don’t kill games so nobody gets a rest.

Most teams aren't in great form.

City are but have the biggest squad. Liverpool have been woeful. Leicester have looked rusty recently. Chelsea have had a bit of good form due to new manager bounce but don't look a force.

That leaves maybe West Ham who are going through a purple patch.

We were top of the league and no one actually believed we were any good, including our manager who publicly told the players as much.

1. We miss Pogba. Having his threat combined with Bruno makes us hard to deal with. If one of the two is out we become predictable.

2. Ole has run some of the players into the ground. He won't rotate enough.

3. Personally I think he's taken us as far as he can. We're 2nd because people around us are bad, not because we're good.

Lack of quality. Wan Bissaka, McT, Matic, James, Greenwood, Fred can't do shit against a packed defense. Inconsistent as feck "star"-players in Rashford and Fernandes.

I meant in terms of fixtures and Palace in the last two games vs Brighton/Fulham looked awful. Don’t think they managed a shot on target vs Fulham.

We are missing Pogba, but we should be able to beat WBA and Palace without him.

Doesn’t help does it? We need a better system for players to fall back on when they’re not feeling inspired, but I think it’s definitely catching up with us.

United at the moment look like the United at the back end of last season. Leggy and lethargic with enough moment's of quality/bursts of energy to see you through help you cross the line.

I think we’ve lost that extra oomph the players may have had when we were actually close to city, a few shit ref decisions in close matches and city steam rolling has deflated us

Desire has gone. They know the title is over so they can’t be bothered.

they’ll sleep walk into a tight battle for the top 4 where they’ll play just enough to save it.

this was a must win game and they literally walked in the 2nd half. Awful.

But..but.. people were mocking us for asking to rest Bruno in a dead rubber game like the EL one a week ago or so.

Exactly. Not to say we were lucky but our winning streak didn't have many great performances. The level of performances indicated that if we didn't buck up our ideas a bad patch was coming.

In the second half of the Chelsea match, Lee Dixon on commentary said he'd been speaking to a couple of United analysts/sports scientists during the break and, when he said it was a poor performance, they replied saying that it's not surprising considering the schedule.

That's understandable. I would expect the players to be tired, and it definitely shows in some of the performances.

But it's another stick to beat Ole with considering he's refused to rest players when the opportunity has arose and he refuses to make substitutions early. If fatigue is a genuine excuse for our recent performances - and I'm not sure even tiredness can justify abject performances like today - then that's on Ole's poor squad management.
