Henderson Isn’t Ready... Yet

I like him but he’s not there yet.

An absolute howler of a mistake tonight has confirmed he’s not a ball playing sweeper keeper that so many criticise De Gea for not being.

He’s still learning his trade but the first time we put faith in him he wilts under the pressure. If De Gea does that everyone screams how he’s past it and lost confidence.

De Gea is comfortably the better GK and likely will be for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, you'd have to think he's not quite ready yet making that mistake but I'm sure he'll be a fine keeper.

No biggie, give him 10 games in a row and then we can see if he improved over the period and got more confident.

He’s 24 nearly and I am getting Ben Foster vibes off him. Remember when VDS missed early part of 09/10 season and Foster crumbled under pressure.

If he’s not ready then we should cash in. And don’t give the excuse GKs get better with age. Buffon and VDS were great at 24.
