Friday Night Lights is a show that doesn't get many shouts (maybe because everyone thinks it's shit), but I really liked it. Would recommend that, personally. Season 2 isn't good, but you can literally just skip it and move on. All the other seasons are great.
The ending to the the last episode broke me

Maid is a good one on Netflix.

Gotcha, totally agree! The final gets a bad rep, but I think it was a quite decent ending.

Criminal Minds is my favourite drama so I'd highly recommend that.
A lot depends on whether you like 'gritty' shows, or more polished ones. I much prefer the latter, and love Criminal Minds. They did 15 series of it and, although some of my favourite characters left during the run, the quality of acting and writing remained solidly high throughout.
