Well, Wikegård, coaching Djurgården (one of the best Swedish teams), said today on TV that we should beat Denmark even with four players.

No, it wouldn't. It would be like losing to fecking Belarus in the Olympics after beating Canada 5-1 (or something like that). And we know such a thing just can't happen.

Wikegård sure has a big mouth; I almost wish Denmak would beat us only to shut him up. I seem to recall us losing againt poor teams in the not too distant past.

This is horrible, our coach has been here for 2 long. fecking clueless and very disturbing. We do not score from powerplay because he plays a fecking midget as the third attacker with Koivu and selanne and in addition to that a fecking defender that can't shoot.

And these referees are terrible, somehow you are allowed to use the stick as much as you want but normal tackles are forbidded. It is obvious that it suits chickens like czech and slovaks who can't tackle anyways.

Canada is by far the best hockey nation in the world! At its best no one can match them. More than 50% of all the NHL players are Canadian!

NHL is overrated. You find better players in the european leagues than in the third and fourth lines in the NHL. In addition to that the small rinks gives the defenders less times, thus you will find alot of NHL defenders that can't even pass.

That said, Canada has some fine players. This new one from Atlanta seems excellent. Canadian players are far from the most skillful though.

Ok dude, where are you from? The NHL is by far the best hckey league in the world, it stocks the best players in the world from around the world(dominated by Canada of course). I live in Canada, I watch the NHL every day, and the defencemen CAN pass! It's so typical for one to call Canada unskillfull compared to other countries, you just don't realise it, because Canada is not only the most skillfull Hockey nation, it is also the TOUGHEST, perhaps that clouds your vision of how much skill we actually have, guess what? Canada 5-2 Russia! (The player from Atlanta's name is Dany Heatly and he's damn good!)

Still, we do have some quality young talent coming through, and they will be great. Our problem is that there is (depth wise, minus Deadmarsh, Langenbrunner, Gomez, York, Parrish, Poti etc...) a gap between this upcoming generation and the Modano/Roenick/Guerin generation.</strong><hr></blockquote>Did you know that Adam Deadmarsh was born and raised in Canada, but went to the American national team for multiple reasons:
1. His Mother is American.
2. He wasn't good enough for the Candian national program.
3. He saw playing for the U.S.A. a better opportunity to display his talent, as he would be considered a medeocore Canadian player (on the professional scene...he would stand out to scouts).
Despite all that, he still calls Canada his home.

This tournament is a fecking joke. The refereeing is horrible. You can use your stick as much as you want, but not tackle. Simply fecking horrible. Good thing the real games start tomorrow.

1. I know Deadmarsh was born in Canada. British Columbia right?
2. He is good enough for the Canadian National Team.
3. He would hardly have been a mediocre Canadian player. Our best players (of which he is one) are just as good as your best players right now. No offense, I would put Mike Modano up against any Canadian player in the world. We just don't have nearly as much depth as you do. Besides, the truth of the matter is that, at peak form, the best player in the World is Russian. The second best is Czech.

Yes, Finland sure invited us back into this game.
