Easy for me, prime Roy Keane. I'm tempted to say Scholes (my favourite player of all time), but Roy is exactly what we need right now. He would add steel in the midfield to stop us being sliced open so easily and which in turn helps our back 3. This would also give more freedom to other midfielders who primarily want to attack.

Johan Cruyff would be another I'd love, jeez then we'd really a dutch club wouldn't we.

Beckenbauer or Matthaus would probably be the sensible option. Would probably go for someone more flashy if it was an actual situation, though.

Zizou. I just loved watching that man play.

Would've been interesting to see Maradona in the PL as well, though.

Beckenbauer - for us this is no-brainer, really.

Redondo is a great pick too.

From our past it would be Scholes or Keane, we need Keane more but Scholes is my all-time favorite, so I don't know. Edwards probably, if he was as good as they say.

Bryan Robson because I'm too young myself to have seen him but he's one of my dad's favourite players and absolutely the kind of player we need.

Di Stefano. Ronaldo would be the current teams version and modern-day equivalent of puskas and the great partnership could be created again .
Can't say that I see any resemblance between them other then their really ridiculous goalscoring. Though Di Stefano would be perfect for this Madrid side, of course.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

But we're crying out for a Roy Keane type. And a big defender like Stam or Vidic (in his prime)

Taking the state of our squad into account, Beckenbauer indeed would be great.

From our own, Keano/Robbo (CM) or Best is what I would most like to see.

a 24 25 year old roy keane. would probably cost us 50million pound on today's market.

cristiano ronaldo of today could single handily win us the premier league though.

Would have to be Maradona or potentially messi for me. In the end you get the best player and just build the team around them.

Duncan Edwards - just to see if he was as good as people say he was.
Would be interesting at the very least.

In terms of an ex-Red it'd be Robson or Keane, but Robbo just edges it as he'd add more goals from midfield than Keano would.

Either at their peak would do nicely though.
