Bellingham is a fecking superstar.
Without him I don’t think we win that game. So positive in possession always looking forward, strong , skillful, eye for goal. The complete package. The second goal he tackled brilliantly then drove forward and set up the goal with a brilliant run across the defence.
Englands midfield is strong but he is the linchpin.
Italy, by comparison had a West Ham reject up front.
If we don’t win the euros next summer surely to god Southgate must go.
Portugal maybe can compare in terms of squad strength (bar the ronaldo effect) but we should 100% be winning that.
Theres no 100% in football.

Italy are so bad. The lack of quality all around the pitch is shocking.

What the hell is wrong with football over there?

Brazil have been completely outclassed tonight
They can't even approach the Uruguay goal atm.
They're just in a state of flux, waiting for Ancelotti to turn up sometime next summer.

I assume everything is agreed as not sure what the plan is if he isn't interested as the current guy is well out of his depth managing elite national team.

Did Pellistri play?
Yes, did pretty well as part of a team focused on pressing Brazil high up and choking them at the build up phase. It wasn't pretty, but was effective. Nuñez scored and got an assist, describes a scrappy game pretty well.

Subbed late on at 2-0 when we reverted to defending deeper in a low block. Brazil could have played another 90 mins and not score, not at the races at all.

Brazilian O Globo complaining Diniz is trying to impose his style with the wrong DM (Casemiro :annoyed: ) and had to pull Neymar back to get the ball out of defence. He did get caught out several times, in fairness.
