Air Ronaldo saves my ticket. 1-1.
We need to snap up Tonali off them. The president said he isn't available though.Brescia have been promoted back in Serie A after eight years in Serie B!
That's Giordano setting up Careca actuallyLost in the Maradona/Napoli narrative is Careca. What a player he was. Look at that move at 1:00 to set up Maradona for his second.
That's me not listening properly to the commentaryThat's Giordano setting up Careca actually
Yes, it was a great sideThat's me not listening properly to the commentary
That Napoli side was packed with talented players, though!
Actually Ian Rush played very bad for Juventus. He came back to England very soon. Here's a great link for Serie A nerds!
This Youtuber has all the goals from every season going all the way back to the 1982/93 season. Pretty sweet stuff.
Watching the 87/88 season with Milan winning it. Roberto Baggio is bossing it with Fiorentina. Maradona's running the game at Napoli. Ian Rush is top class for Juventus.

You're right, I just checked. He only scored eight goals. Mind you, the top scorer that season was Maradona with only fifteen. Careca with thirteen. Vialli with only ten. Gullit with nine. Those defences were tight back then. I think Milan finished up with 40 something odd goals as Champions.Actually Ian Rush played very bad for Juventus. He came back to England very soon.

Yep, Milan '94 is one of my favorite Serie A winner for that exact reason — scored a fewer numbers of goals that half the division (and were statistically on par with some relegated teams), but in the absence of Van Basten (and with Gullit being sold to Sampdoria while the club was restructuring) the defense under Capello stepped up in a major way and was so good that they still managed to land the title. And funnily enough, they came full circle by hammering Wenger's Monaco and then dismantling Cruyff's Dream Team in the Champions League final by scoring 4 goals! You're right, I just checked. Not for nothing Massaro was called "Provvidenza"Yep, Milan '94 is one of my favorite Serie A winner for that exact reason — scored a fewer numbers of goals that half the division (and were statistically on par with some relegated teams), but in the absence of Van Basten (and with Gullit being sold to Sampdoria while the club was restructuring) the defense under Capello stepped up in a major way and was so good that they still managed to land the title. Gullit was not sold but lended to Sampdoria that year. With many rumors about the reason of this decision.Yep, Milan '94 is one of my favorite Serie A winner for that exact reason — scored a fewer numbers of goals that half the division (and were statistically on par with some relegated teams), but in the absence of Van Basten (and with Gullit being sold to Sampdoria while the club was restructuring) the defense under Capello stepped up in a major way and was so good that they still managed to land the title. Don't forget that in the Serie A there were only 16 teams at this time. The season was considerably shorter than now, with 8 matches less. But you are right, to score in Italy was very difficult. But some years before Platini (a midfielder) could win three times in a row the prize for the best scorer of the season with 16. 20 and 18 goals. You're right, I just checked. It's quite surprising how many midfielders in general used to dribble with the ball and drive forward with it back then. I wasn’t around back then, but I shudder to think of what football would be like these days if this was still the case.Back pass rule, plus 2 points per win. Not losing was as valuable as winning back then
Similar goal against Sassuolo last yearYeah, that was an absolute beauty.
I hope Atalanta make it. They play some of the most exciting football in Europe.Torino and Atalanta both getting CL would be brilliant.
Inter have easy games against Chievo and Empoli at San Siro so they'll fall over the line I suspect.
Absolute legend and a beast in his prime. After 18 years, 615 appearances, and 63 goals, Daniele De Rossi has decided to leave Roma, at the end of this season.
5 Cups in 10 years for Lazio as much as it pains me to say but they have regularly been lifting trophies. They're unlucky president Lotito will not take the next step with investing the team but I can't blame him for not bothering with Juve's dominance.Joaquin Correa with a very nice second, Lazio win their first trophy for a while.
Does San Siro never host the cup final, little bit odd Lazio get their home stadium.
