Then put your little hand in mine
There ain't no hill or mountain we can't climb
Babe
I got you babe
I got you babe

OK, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there. It's cold out there every day.

"Happy Sancho day, again"
Brilliant

The conclusion here is pretty fecking easy to understand. Barcelonas finances are utter shit, to the point where they do swap deals at inflated prices for budget reasons...There is no such thing as Ousmane Dembele at a low price, as they can't fecking afford it. Anyone wanting to sign Dembele will have to do it at an obscene price, so why the feck would we even want to consider forking out a similar sized, or even larger, fee for Dembele than we can't afford for Sancho?

Avoid like the plague
You could've said this in your first retort. I took issue with your silly assertion that the player has mental issues. I frankly couldn't care less about your opinion on how we as a club can structure a potential deal. I shared a few names of potential players that could be options instead of Sancho. You then went on a tangent about Dembele's mental state which had feck all to do with the point I was making.

If we sold Martial and Greenwood for £150m and spent £150m this window, would you be happy with that?

If we sold Smalling for £150mill, signed Sancho, a left back and a cb, would you moan about our net spend being £20mill.

We have reached the promise land in terms of thread goals...

Nothing to see here though, 1,100 pages of absolutely nothing.

In my first reply i said that he has mental issues and that Barcelona can't afford to let him go at a price that anyone is willing to pay. The fact that you needed it spelled out again isn't really my concern.

How do you know he has mental issues?

There's a difference between mental issues and being immature..

In my inital post, i said he doesn't have the mental drive to deliver at the highest level over time. You called it mental issues.

But hey, if you reckon it's a wise decision to spend more money on Dembele than on Sancho, then good for you

He did so at Dortmund. Hes just had injury problems

Is he going to play centre half? I'm sure he'll do better than the two statues there at present.
Is Sancho really needed, Lingard isn't even getting a look in and he's one of the best young players at the club.

There will be absolute hell on if we go for Sarr and don't sign Sancho.

We have enough mediocre shite that we can't move on as it is - so I hope there's nothing in the Sarr link.
From what I've read, it seems like it's agent driven paper talk.

Starting to think I want Telles and Traore rather than just Sancho. Could probably bag a new CB too once a few players are gone.

Fish, pond, fishermen and seagulls, how long did he stay at Dortmund again?
Since joining Barcelona there's the numerous cases of off the pitch issues, Barcelona having to go look for him because he didn't show up for training and not to mention his fecking injuries.

Combine this with Barcelonas situation, where they can't actually afford to let him go at a lower price, you're either looking at a Coutinho type of loan for a short period of time or forking out what Barcelona needs to balance their books, which essentially means forking out more than we already can't pay for Sancho.

It doesn't really sound like such a good idea.

He had those issues at Dortmund and still performed at an incredibly high level

Anyone else see Andy Mitten on SSN just now?

said Sancho isn’t happening.

3 months spent on one player.. and they don’t even sign him. Cool

10th August was the deadline. Nothing happened since then. Sancho is happy to stay as well. Just dumb to still be in this

Ah ok not a bad shout that

No question marks over what he'll do really(compared to alternatives) and as we've seen from the Jota sale, they will sell at the right price.

Telles and Traore make both sides of the pitch so much better instantly.

Now I'm going to be upset when neither happens.

Even there could be nothing coming out from this, but least we can be proudly say, we are breaking the record of longest thread here.

Just come out and say we won’t be singing him or something. I’m tired at this point. Might as well add that we won’t be signing anyone. I’ll be mentally prepared for a top 6 finish then.

No, but what you mentioned isn't realistic. Our net spend would be about £200m in your scenario

Great.

For top clubs, in the vast majority of cases, easily 95%, the players you sell are players you don't want to keep, the obvious reasons are down to performance.

The last time we sold a player we were desperate to keep was over 10 years ago when Ronaldo fecked off to Madrid.

For the biggest clubs, net spend barely comes close to representing anything related to strengthening of squads.

There's a pretty big difference between losing two key performers in Martial and Greenwood, for £150mill, and trying to replace them for the same fee, and losing two non-performing players in Martial and Greenwood for £150mill.

One scenario is easy, the other one is difficult.

Obsessing over net spend is moronic

There’s definitely a turn in mood here. The pressure is being ramped up on the board. Even Shaw is saying we need to spend which personally I’m totally against but obviously the expectation was these players would be here by now. Below tweet by Mitten retweeted by Neville.

You could say it’s really 18 months we’ve actually been chasing him and not even put an actual bid in. Absolutely scandalous, if any other top club was being run like this there’d be fecking riots.

If i have to put my money on someone else if Sancho doesn't arrive, that is Sarr. (Personally I m still undecided about him as I haven't seen playing a lot). But the fact that he was left out of the team yesterday makes me suspect he s moving

I've said it a few days ago and it became even more evident after the Palace game: This Sancho saga has the potential to turn into a full blown desaster.

Just imagine Woodward & Co. not paying up this summer, United not reaching the CL (well, our start was not promising), Sancho playing another great season at Dortmund (off to a good start) and then other big money clubs going after him next summer.

No way an elite talent like Sancho would choose a club without CL football next summer, when he has other great options.

We would look like the biggest idiots out there.

Agree. Focus on the main target, don’t buy overpriced (and all players we always overpay wages) substandard backups.

I’d rather nobody for the wing and play Greenwood there again this season.

I hope to god this board see that the manager needs backing after finishing 3rd. Why do they want to stunt our fecking progress.

Whats this fecking obsession with fecking "actual bids", you hold talks with the other club and try to reach an agreement and if an agreement is reach we submit that as an offer, do people still fecking think that we're faxing in bids and twiddling our fingers hoping they'll accept this one

Everything about the club had been amateurish post Sir Alex. One of the best young talents in the game who’s happy to come here. His club willing to sell and have named their price and we can’t get the job done. Covid has seemingly only affected Uniteds’ finances and preparation for the season.
