Just played for Chelsea in the NextGen competition - 15 years old.
Long way to go but heard he is the real deal.
A name and attacking midfielder to keep an eye on

French. Dad moved to London 5 years ago (roughly), signed for Chelsea. c'est la vie.

I watched the video for 1.5 minutes and it was pretty shit, there was actually a slow motion replay of him controlling a simple ball on his knee! Not a patch on the Pereira vids.

I remember watching a Chelsea youngster a few years back and he looked like the next world superstar - Gael Kakuta was his name.

Chelsea decided about 5 years ago to build a yoof academy and roll their own. They hired Arnessen from Spurs, raided a lot of clubs illegally and produced feck all. So they sacked Frank, gave up and went back to spend, spend, spend.

He has played above his level many times and done well.He has an impressive physique but also good technique to go with it.Time will tell of course what his level is as one can never really tell at this point.

One player I am really looking forward to seeing is charly musonda, watched him once sometime ago in a regional youth tournament and he stood out massively, not surprising since I read after he joined Chelsea that he has been the best player in every tournament he has played. There is a video of him on YouTube and although it is true it is stupid to judge players by watching compliations that video does show what his game is about. Knows when to release the pass and is very Iniesta like is his dribbling, in the sense that he has a very simple and very graceful style with no deception or great pace, just pure technique with the ball.Very interested to see how he does, he was pretty much the most highest rated player of Belgium.

both Musonda and Boga scored in their latest U21 match...Boga's, what, 15? 16?

Shit, I remember Kakuta's Youtube videos...he genuinely looked like the new Messi going by those.

I think he is 15. Also musonda did not play in the u21 match, the commentator announced musonda had scored when in fact it was boga. Also boga was the best player on the pitch, he is very strong but that's not why he stood out, it was because he showed great technique and awareness. Looked very impressive.

Talking about gael, I like every Cfc fan had great hopes for kakuta but I was a little cautious for even in the youth grades he was drifting in and out of matches. Still he is very young and I hope he has a good career even if it may not be with us.

I think you know very well that no academy can be set up within 5 years, its a long term process, though I agree Arnesson was a feck up.

There are a lot of Chelsea youngsters in the youth levels, though that doesn't mean a lot...they might as well be championship standard for all we know.Still the academy is moving in the right direction, be it at the youth level only.

And no comments on illegal poaching!

Scored a hat trick in the u18's and played well.Very promising from him, he probably will play U21 more often from now onwards.(Musonda again stood out, he looks something very special)

I hope I am not thrusting this player into the faces of people on a United forum, I'l just keep updating this topic from time to time.

A 15 year old playing in the U21s? Must be a real talent.

He is very strong which is partly the reason he plays at such a high level for his age, he is very good technically and aware of his surroundings which is also partly the reason he stood out in the U21 match.

He is a no. 10 though he can play deeper but no. 10 is his best position at the level he plays currently.

However it is too early to be talking about whether he will eventually make it big or not, talking exclusively at the current level he plays..he looks like an excellent player.

Boga is playing for Chelsea under 21s against Liverpool at the moment its on live on both Chelsea Tv and Liverpool Tv for anyone interested

Just came on a sub for Chelsea U21 and has already scored two goals against Liverpool U21.

His first goal being described by the excellent Chelsea youth as this

GOAL, 3-1, Jeremie Boga goes on a mazy 40 yard run and tucks away with confidence at the end of it. Great goal.

Looks a special player still only 15 and making a big impact at under 21 level already

I was gonna start a thread on this kid to put it out there that he'll be the first great player our youth setup has produced since Terry.

Not this season (he's only 17 so probably won't even go on loan anywhere) but within 4 years he'll be one of the most exiting players in Europe, both for Chelsea and France.

He scored this goal for us yesterday...

And another Youtube vid with the expected terrible music...

Boga.

Boga bonito.

You'll fcuk him up still. Future Wolfsburg legend.

Reminds me of Gael Kakuta so you'll kill his career as well.
You're evil and you should be banned from having any sort of youth set up. Mourinho & Abramovich should be shot out of a cannon at the sun.

Eh, not sure what you are expecting; tons of feints and roulette like this guy?

If anything, the video highlight what I think is his best attributes - direct play, ability to ride challenges and drawing opponents to him thus freeing his team-mates. Flicks and feints are useless if they slow down the play.

Ronaldo used to do a ton of step-overs when he first came here, and people deride him by calling him "one-trick pony". When he did less step-overs he became a more direct and effective player, and eventually the monster he is today.

Chelsea have the best young talents in their academy really. Hopefully some of them are given a chance rather than being loaned out.

Lucas Piazon really looked too but he has also been continuously loaned out.

killed his own with his attitude of thinking he had made it when he was promoted to the 1st team for a couple of games

Turns 18 in January, serious potential there. Hope Jose gives him a chance next season.

Think with Salah leaving, we will have a space left for him. Although, what about Thorgan/Piazon?

Thorgan's looked very impressive whenever he's come on for Monchengladbach. Not seen alot of Piazon this season.

On another note, Kakuta's just been named Rayo Player of the Month, still out on loan

Piazon is just awful for Frankfurt and really doesn't look good enough to be a Bundesliga player. No work rate, doesn't win a 1on1, no strength and no threat in the attack. One wonder free kick goal but that was pretty much it for him. I don't think he will have a future at Chelsea much like most of the other Bundesliga loaness.

Hazard is still your best bet but he is also not even first choice at Gladbach and is mostly used in the EL matches when the other players get a rest. I see the most potential in him though it's questionable that he will be anything more than a squad player for you in the near future. A few more years at a second tier club would benefit him most imo.

Had high hopes from both of them, especially Piazon as Chelsea fought a lot of competition and paid a decent amount to sign him. Hope things improve from now on to the end of the season.

Yeah many Frankfurt fans were very excited when the signing was official but he hasn't contributed anything so far. I'm also not sure that the situation will improve in the near future as he had enough chances at the start of the season (didn't take them) and now Frankfurt have lost a few games in a row and need to up their game to get out of the relegation zone. You need very passionate and hard working players to win games and he really doesn't seem like he's up for it at all.

I always read your posts but can never remember which bundesliga team you support.

Feel sorry for him, if he was at United he would probably have made his debut by now.Great talent.Been a fan of him since he was 15.

This is what I get irritated with. Man United do not have a single youth player from the academy in their starting 11 apart from Janujaz who is a squad player. McNair and Blackett are not counted as they have played by default due to injuries.

Just looking at the first video, what the feck are midgets like that doing playing 11v11 on a vast full size pitch? Far, far too much space.
