That's great to hearHe is doing fine with the u-16s, has scored already.
Can't see why not. He only had a dead leg. That's a blow. He was having a fine season up until his injury.
Does Will Keane have any chance of making the Chelsea match? We seem to be terribly short of strikers in the U18s.
It is (a JOS-style dead leg). Can't see why not. He only had a dead leg.
Unless it's a John O' Shea-style dead leg?
Actually felt that he has had a bit of a off-season. Might blame injuries. But then I saw his stats at United Youth, and according to this page he has eight starts, seven goals for the acadamy. Seven starts, six goals for the reserves. Will Keane was back to full training yesterday acording to his twitter. Hopefully he'll be ready for the FAYC semi
Wish I had off seasons like that.Actually felt that he has had a bit of a off-season. Might blame injuries. But then I saw his stats at United Youth, and according to this page he has eight starts, seven goals for the acadamy. Seven starts, six goals for the reserves.
I don't think he started well, but was coming back into it before his injury.Wish I had off seasons like that.
But seriously, I kind of felt the same way - didn't think he was having anything like as good as a season as last year - in my case this shows why you should never judge a player on highlights.
He does remind me a lot of Ebanks-Blake. Big, strong and pacey lad, decent finisher.Does anyone see a bit of a Fabien Brandy / Ebanks Blake outcome to this?
Strong yes - and decent finisher yesHe does remind me a lot of Ebanks-Blake. Big, strong and pacey lad, decent finisher.
Fair enough... "muscular" is a better term.Strong yes - and decent finisher yes
But to call Ebanks-Blake BIG
I thought his finishing was very good in the youth team. In his first season here he only played a handful of games, mostly just sub appearances, and lead the team in goals, I believe until the last week of that season. He does remind me a lot of Ebanks-Blake. Big, strong and pacey lad, decent finisher.
Yupp. Think they both snapped a leg.Didn't both Brandy and Ebanks-Blake get pretty serious injuries at important stages of their development though?
Hopefully more Ebanks-Blake than Brandy.Does anyone see a bit of a Fabien Brandy / Ebanks Blake outcome to this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Febian_BrandyOn 28 February 2011, after unsuccessful trials with Leicester City and Preston North End, Brandy signed for Notts County until the end of the 2010–11 season. Brandy made 4 appearances for the club but he was released at the end of that season when his contract was not renewed.
Brandy spend more than 6 months as a free agent until, in January 2012, he joined Greek Superleague club Panetolikos on a free transfer, but left the club without appearing for the first team.
Yes but exactly choosing from a huge sample size to start with!Very impressive goal to score from that angle and distance, better than any of the goals we've seen for United this preseason!
