I's very critical of Jose's approach in the first few weeks but I think he's changing and we've been more ambitious in our approach since that Leicester game.

The 2nd half performance today was a typical Jose away performance but the way we started off especially the first 30 minutes, it's quite un-Jose like approach. Liked the way we're pressing high up the pitch. Would have loved had we continued in the same vein in the 2nd half but won't complain.

Would love to see him taking off Ibra once in a while especially in games where he's contributing nothing and there is a chance that we can hurt the other team through quick counter attack.

Also needs to give Pogba a good bollocking or two.

While I'm relieved not to get beaten to a bloody pulp in that game at Anfield, should we fail to win at Stamford Bridge ( Hazard looking like best player on the league again) then I think that's 1 win in 6 for Mourinho.

We're starting to look better, we just need to get some attackers in to form. We can't do much with Pogba, Ibra, and Martial all looking poor and Mykhi hardly featuring at all. If we can get these guys sorted out we'll be very very good.

Aye, but the fixture list got to be taken into consideration. Away against Liverpool and then Chelsea in one week is brutal.

fecking dire and we've had plenty of matches already.

I was quietly optimistic in the summer. I thought Ibra, Miki and the Pogba signing would give us a lot more fire power but do we even look like scoring more than we did under Van Gaal?

If you look at my post history, right from the start my main issue was "Why do we look useless in the final third? O well, I guess it'll get sorted out in training over time." But seriously what the feck are we doing during the week? And nevermind that! Why the hell are we playing Marcus Rashford on the wing and why Jesse Lingard a first XI instead of a squad player? Why the hell is Fellaini still being played in our so called best XI?

Defence is another story but I still think (in the big picture) not as concerning.

I'm not impressed anymore. Mourinho has had enough time to work this shit out.

Forgive me if this appears reactionary, but what a fecking dreadful couple of team selections.

Rashford should categorically not being playing on the wing in a game like this. Martial does a similar job to a much higher standard, as he is technically more proficient than Marcus. Ashley Young proved on Monday that he is more than capable on playing as a 'defensive-minded' left midfielder.

I don't know if Shaw is fit. If he is fit enough to play 90 mins v Fenerbahce I'd guess he could play here too. I can understand easing him back in, but we are playing at Stamford Bridge, and I think you have to take a risk like that here. If we are going to play Blind, I think you have to play Young to help him out.

Fellaini is galloping around like a headless chicken, and technically is a lot worse than any other midfielder on the pitch. I could understand him in this game doing a shielding job in front of the back 4, but he is doing nothing like that. It's a shame Carrick played 90 in midweek, I think he would bring us some much needed control in midfield.

It pains me to write this, as I have always been a huge fan of Mourinho, but I think this has been a bit ridiculous so far.

To be fair, Luiz should be off and the 2nd goal was very unfortunate.

The tactics are absolutely bizarre. Fellaini as a second striker, Pogba as an advanced midfielder, Herrera all on his own and a pair of defensive wingbacks out wide.

I can't remember the last time we set our side up to actually complement what we have.

Needs time to mold the team and get rid of the shite like Fellaini.

Not sure why managers keep turning to him all the time. Even when we have the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin on the bench, who SURELY wouldnt do a worse job. At the very least Morgan would be more mobile and provide better passing.

After every game i wonder what the plan is with our attack. We create next to nothing except for crosses into the box for Ibra who isn't taking the chances. Even the one game we looked reasonably good (Leicester) was because we scored 3 goals from corners.

Rashford plays because his performances have been massively superior to Martial. Not even sure why people are confused by this. And he's been one of our better players out on the wing every time he's played there.

Out dated tactics. We need to press more against bigger teams and not be so negative.

Shit on a stick football.

Mourinho's squad selections haven't been up to much this season. He's been a massive disappointment so far in my opinion. We wanted the winner Mourinho and we ended up with something a lot closer to last year's disaster at Chelsea. I'm genuinly worried he's damaged goods.

Having a conversation with my brother about this now and I ranted about Rashford and Lingard on the wings.

To which he responds: "You mean your wing-backs..."

Fecking hell, he's right! Wtf is going on.

Tactics didnt cause us to lose a goal in 30 seconds.

Team selection of Fellaini, Blind might be blame on Mourinho. But you would expect them to show more desire and grit than today. They look shellschocked after each goal conceded.

Never have I seen such a fragile and mentally weak Manchester United. Right now, I honestly think we need to get rid of the Moyes/LVG era players not named Shaw, Martial and Herrera.

We obviously came in with a plan to keep a clean sheet and hit on the break. Its a shame we completely fecked that up in 30 seconds.

We're playing 1-3-6 with our two wingers basically wider fullbacks, it's just so weird to see and it's clearly not working.

Mou is trying to have his cake and eat it. Wants to be seen to be playing attacking players but then sets us up with them playing closer to our box then the oppositions. Of course some of the problem is the players and individual mistakes but right now would surely have made more sense for us to commit to playing wingbacks if that's what Mou wants but then actually have a threat up top by playing Rashford/Martial alongside Ibra in a 352. Or alternatively show more ambition and actually play 4231.

Still damaged goods (I warned you all)

Although I don't want to even think about him getting sacked unless things go very very bad

But as a I posted in the other thread these last 25 league games make for very worrying reading

Won 8
Draw 5
Lost 12

Usually I wouldn't dare post something like this at half time, but I can't for the life of me see us getting anything today

Please prove me wrong

He's constantly picking Fellaini. On that note alone he deserves stick.

One would think he'd have more clue than that, being the special one and all that.

I can't fault him for our average squad but this is on him.

I've never considered him to be necessarily a "defensive" manager but it's the defensive aspect that he focuses on, even at games you can see it's the main part of the team he's phsyically looking at. I think he believes that if he spends enough on attacking players, they should be able by themselves to create enough chances and score enough goals, I can't remember a time in his career where he's had an obvious attacking pattern to the extent of some of the other current top managers.

I don't like him, never did and I don't like the football but I'm sick of changing managers so he can do whatever he likes to this team.

Any Einsteins remember if we've ever seen a selection with:

Zlatan, Mata, Miki and Martial in the same side? Yeah me neither.

That was pretty much what my pre-season optimism was built on.

We are as still as poor as last season, Mentally fragile. Cant blame him for the squad he has inherited but can blame him for the team selections, Fellani, Lingard

Thought he was improving after the last two fixtures, but this is complacent and a complete mess.

That he chose to play slow players like Fellaini and Blind in this game I honestly don't understand...

Can't win against the smaller teams, and can't draw against the biggest. What do we pay him the big bucks for? Hopefully he makes the top 4 so we don't fire him.

This... He said in the summer he wasn't about utility players, but "specialists" yet he has players out of position all over the place.

Hard to see what his plan is sometimes... A lot of the time.
