Today match just proves what we have said several times. Salah injury throw all their beautiful and "amazing" football out of the window. Klopp has been 100% dependent on Salah the whole season.

Still an amazing manager. He played the Champions League Final vs Real Madrid with players like Karius, Lovren, Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Windalum, Wijnaldum, Arnold, Can, etc.

If they add Navy Keita and Fekir to their midfield... with Salah-Firminho -Mane in the attack, they could be tittle challengers next season.

Nope, they’ll still bottle it. The new Tottenham.

He’s always managing an under dog. Most of the time the favourites win in those games.

His liverpool run reminds me a lot of arsenal since 2006. All pretty football with no trophies. We have got our new Wenger, just that Wenger achieved more.

If he had he money that the teams who have beaten him had then it may well be different.

However that wouldn’t suit his style. He’s a great manager, some silly responses in this thread. But it’s liverpool.

Yep simple like that, makes you wonder why Jurgen Flopp didn't go to Bayern and get a stacked squad and have world class players all over the pitch. He'd be winning the Champions league every few seasons.

Delusional.

He has no clue how to coach his teams to control games. It's either 100mph football for shorts bursts/periods of time before eventually completely gassing or... er, that's it. That style of football is conducive to winning games of football but, paradoxically, not conducive to winning titles. You need more nuance to your game and more strings to your managerial bow for that to happen.

You're right. Next year must be their year.

This is why he can get average players performing at a higher level than they are. He turns the game into a test of stamina and explosiveness (who has more workhorses basically). Any semblance of technical quality goes out the window when Liverpool play a half decent team. It's all about fighting for 2nd balls and getting stuck in.

Hahaha it will never be their year. But I'm surprised they came very far in the Champions League with a lot of average players.

They played City as their only major test on the way. A side that plays into their hands so well.

Maybe you should wonder why they looked like crap once Salah got injured. Seems very much like how Suarez got their whole squad to tick and made Rodgers look like a geniuis, at least for 1 season.

Liverpool were a carbon copy last season. Mane was sensational last season and when he went to AFCON they went to shit. This season Salah has taken Mane's place and they are hopeless without him.

Klopp teams are one dimensional by design and cannot handle specific tactical profiles.

Totally agree, same happened versus Roma when they were winning 5-0.

Good point
His in game management is absolutely atrocious; which is a sign of a manager that is basically improvising. The longer Klopp goes on the more his Dortmund trophies look like a perfect storm that he was just a small part of.

Imagine if Zidane left Madrid and failed to win a trophy for 10 years. The logical conclusion is that his time at Madrid was quite lucky rather than him being a key figure within that period.

He's going to go full werewolf one of these days. There seems to be a presence in there that is desperate to change form.

Definite arguments for him managing the favourites in two of the six lost finals (vs Wolfsburg and vs Sevilla), but he still lost those, and the underdog narrative can only take you so far until people inevitably bring up Leicester winning the Premier League, Birmingham winning the League Cup, Wigan winning the FA Cup, all in the last 10 years. Hell, Arsenal were underdogs in last year's FA Cup final, and Chelsea in this year's.

Yeah, you expect the favourites to win more often than not, but if the underdog is as plucky and as talented as Klopp's made out to be, you sort of expect them to come out on top once or twice, and he doesn't even do the job when he's the favourite.

I am sure that Klopp will lose another final or two before MUFC will even come close to a final like that under Mourinho. In the meantime they will entertain and win over neutrals (like me).
It is all good to have laugh at your rival but there is no way you can blame Klopp for this defeat except for the the obviously wrong choice of a Keeper.
