That was me when I was looking at who to go for next. I wanted Burnley this week but then that would have left me with all relegation fodder away from home in week 38. Bournemouth are scrapping for their lives and I'm hoping that they at least draw with Southampton so I can use Burnley at home in week 38. Realistically though, I think this could be the end of the line for me :(

That's why I make all the random punts early on. Last thing you want is go to the last two games with Bournemouth and Burnley while others have City, Chelsea, Liverpool...

Mind you, I'm bricking it over our game with West Ham. I would care about the points more than going out, but having picked that game weeks ago I've been anxious about it for longer than usual!

No crowds has definitely reduced the number of upsets I think with a few notable exceptions. I think all nine will make it to the final matchday with the three Brightoners the most at risk.

Fair one mate. I'm not impressed with having to rely on Bournemouth but this is the first LMS that I've been involved in so happy with how far I've come so far. I'll probably alternate decent teams with he others next time round

Scraping the bottom of the barrel here now.
Have to hope an out of form Palace can take something from a Tottenham side who are also struggling somewhat.

What happens if there is more than one man standing after week 38? Do we continue into next season?

I don't know, I'm open to suggestions. Was thinking maybe seeing who has picked teams that won the most games from those left which isn't ideal but would see it end this season rather than continuing into next.

Was hoping this would be done by the end of the season judging by the length of the last couple of competitions but since football restarted there haven't been as many upsets as you'd expect, so we've gone a couple of weeks without anyone being eliminated.

How about this...
Everyone that has survived at the end of week 38 has the average finishing position of their selected teams taken. The person lowest down the table wins as they will have chosen the so called lesser teams more often?

Edited to say: GET THE FECK IN BOURNEMOUTH :D
Edited again to have a bit of a cry :(

I think we will all have selected 15 teams and avoided 5 (or something like that). Just add the points total of those NOT selected. Whoever has the highest wins (would mean they took greater risks).

Would be great if you communicate whichever scheme before the last gameweek. Would be fun seeing some roll a dice on Norwich.

Don't be a crybaby, I'd rather my team won the league :(

PS: Southampton's terrible home form is only second to Norwich's, while they currently sit at 3rd on the Away table. I mentioned it last week actually.

I was expecting it to be over by now as well, so can understand how we are in this situation.

Deciding on the tiebreaker a week before it's needed seems less than ideal, because people might have selected otherwise had they known in advance. Suggestions will likely favour the cause of the ideator.

Perhaps the fairest way would be to continue and say that anyone left in after wk 5 of next season is/are the winner(s)

True. Will let it continue in parallel with a new competition for the start of next season but they only have the five(?) teams left to pick from.

18th place this season will be replaced with Leeds United for next season
19th place this season will be replaced with the team which finishes second in the Championship
Norwich City will be replaced with the team which goes up via the play-offs.

This is the fairest I think! It’s not fair now to go back and judge picks on criteria that wasn’t known at the time.

Yeah, if everyone's happy with it I'm fine with it.

GW 38 - Villa.

Don't trust anyone who has nothing to play for. Hope it works.

Ah, bollocks, may have switched away from City had I known. Not keen on starting the season with Spurs as my good team, let alone with Kane's usual early season record :nervous:
