Leah Galton

Good news but have to say it's been a disappointing season for her so far compared to last year

Not always her fault though, Skinner playing her at full back in the derby is one of most bizarre tactical decisions I've seen

I was at that game and livid with Skinner’s tactics. Reminded me of the utter nonsensical tactic of playing Bronze out of position in the 2019 World Cup semi-final v USWNT. Inept tactics by both Skinner and Neville.

Still wearing the protective boot so her season seems to be done. Fortunately for her and for us it’s only one game. It’s a shame if she won’t be able to play at Old Trafford but there’ll be more opportunities in the future.

"Leah [Galton] sustained an ankle injury in that game [the final]. She'll be out for a few months while we obviously [will] assess it. It's actually in a positive place on the level and spectrum of it but yeah she'll miss out up until probably pre-season and then hopefully we'll get her back for the start of the season."

We've missed Leah this year and her 10 or so goals. Think she could have held her own physically with Chelsea today.

What an absolute star. I know I've repeatedly said that she's my favourite player - but, she's my favourite player.

It's been a while. It would be good to see her back before the end of the season. We've missed her skills and her attitude.

I think her contract runs out at the end of the season though. I'm not sure we'll see her start for us again.

Sad about this. One of my favourite players.
Presume its the injuries?

She hasn't said specifically, but I suspect that either she had decided herself that she can't play any more due to chronic back injuries and/or that she can't land a contract because of that.

Definitely one of my favourites, up there with Kirsty Hanson, Mollie Green, and S.Chamberlain.

That 2018 squad had such cozy vibe.

Sad to see her go, though not surprised. One of those players who made us so exciting to watch as we grew up under Casey Stoney.

Good luck to her with whatever she decides to do in her future.

This one stings, but I wish her the best in whatever lies ahead for her.

Is it true that we allowed Lauren James to go join her brother in Chelsea because we thought Leah was going to be a more than adequate replacement? I seem to remember reading something like that around that time.
