What are some of the things that Ole has done well in his tenure so far ?
I think the EL is actually our best chance of getting CL football. We should definitely make the semis with the draw we have.
- Even if we screw up the remaining league fixtures, we still have a second remaining shot at CL football with the Europa league. We will most likely have a 10-14 day rest for our potentially 3 crucial Europa league fixtures (not counting LASK). With a rested team, we should play our strongest XI in each match and have a great chance of winning the EL
...and counting!Guys! We will reach top 4. I know it looks doom and gloom but would you expect Vardy and Co to win again Sheffield United or Tottenham. Or Chelsea winning against pool. I think we will reach top 4.
You cant keep winning every game. Thats humanly not possible. 17 games unbeaten is quite a record. We are going in the right direction. All of us knew that we would falter some where. Lets just hope that this was it
We play Palace, West Ham and an out of form Leicester. On paper that's considerably easier than the Europa League route. When you look at the fixtures Chelsea and Leicester have we might not even need maximum points.I think the EL is actually our best chance of getting CL football. I think all these teams are better than Basaksehir or FC Kobenhavn. We play Palace, West Ham and an out of form Leicester. On paper that's considerably easier than the Europa League route. When you look at the fixtures Chelsea and Leicester have we might not even need maximum points.
Inter, Roma, Sevilla, Wolves, Leverkusen, Getafe etc. are still in the competition.I think all these teams are better than Basaksehir or FC Kobenhavn.
We did okay in cup competitions in recent years while we have a habit of completely fecking up the league.
Yes but we should definitely make the semi-finals at the very least and then it's just two games. Add to that that a draw after 90 minutes isn't the disaster it is in the league, that we generally tend to shit ourselves when top 4 is in sight but usually do decently in cup competitions and overall I think it's reasonable to say the EL is the likelier route for us.Inter, Roma, Sevilla, Wolves, Leverkusen, Getafe etc. are still in the competition.
I'm still behind Ole when it's all said and done. The thrashing hurts but it happens once in a while in football, and what matters is how one responds. I just hope makes wise decisions moving forward. For example a player as flawed as Maguire should never be undroppable, admitting you signed the wrong guy and benching him would bring more respect than blindly picking him and dropping others around him.We will be ok once we get some matches and form.
Perfect storm of a shit summer and no pre season.
