Last year it was 11th July for this announcement...anyone know when this is happening this year..i gotta make plans man..
The closed season is just so depressing that we latch on to any talk of football. And every one of those points you mentioned brings the start of the new season closer.anyone notice how increasingly impatient we get as fans?
anxious for the fixtures
anxious for the kits to be released
anxious for signings
anxious for tv games
anxious for the first game
etc
Blame that on last season. We're desperate to get going again, we were desperate halfway through last season.anyone notice how increasingly impatient we get as fans?

imagine how it is without a world cup and 64 games to watch over 5 weeks!!The closed season is just so depressing that we latch on to any talk of football. And every one of those points you mentioned brings the start of the new season closer.
I know, I still have the nightmares. But no matter how much I've loved the World Cup it's still not the same as watching Man Utd play.imagine how it is without a world cup and 64 games to watch over 5 weeks!!
Yeah I got a bit bored with it a week or so ago.I know, I still have the nightmares. But no matter how much I've loved the World Cup it's still not the same as watching Man Utd play.
Yeah I am the same - bored of the WC now. I hate the BBC and ITV's coverage too, can't wait for my Sky fix to start again.Yeah I got a bit bored with it a week or so ago.
It's great to start with, but there's only so many games you can watch where you don't support a team!
Nothing can beat Martin Tylers scream. (Except when he screams Aguero. That is the worst sound in the world.)Yeah I am the same - bored of the WC now. I hate the BBC and ITV's coverage too, can't wait for my Sky fix to start again.
This post is at least a few days too late. Why you do this to me?anyone notice how increasingly impatient we get as fans?

Err why should they?bloody sky and whoever lets them do this .
First game away at Burnley for me...on a fecking Monday night....no trains back. When are sky going to ever consider fans and travel.....going on the past 20 odd years.... NEVER. Its a fecking travesty and something needs to be done about it. Why cant they have the Monday night games with clubs who are not that far away from each other?
Yeah, feck match going supporters ehErr why should they?
Why would they go out of their way to help those who aren't their customers?Yeah, feck match going supporters eh
how do you know the match going supporters are not customers? Why would they go out of their way to help those who aren't their customers?
Because they have gone to the match? And if they are such diehard fans who travel to away games its hardly likely they would be willing to miss a game when they aren't at matches out of principle.how do you know the match going supporters are not customers?
what a ridiculous thing to say.Because they have gone to the match? And if they are such diehard fans who travel to away games its hardly likely they would be willing to miss a game when they aren't at matches out of principle.
Yeah read the bit below the part you bolded, perhaps I didn't make it clear enough for you but I would assume as you have that match goers will also have sky for the matches they can't view. Therefore if you can't get to the game are you going to refuse to watch the game or would you watch it on SKY? Seems a bit silly to suggest they would reduce their viewing figures to accommodate match goers hey? And yes I do go to games when I get the chance.what a ridiculous thing to say.
Most supporters who go to matches will most probably have sky sports as well. why...because the follow football. Certainly all the supporters I know who actually go to matches subscribe.
But if you think that its ok that Sky can just arrange matches without consideration of a match going supporter...(imagine the trip Newcastle to Southampton for example) then I guess you are a non match goer and just watch on TV.
For a match to be re arranged to a Monday night where the average supporter will have to take a day off work to do a 6 hour journey, watch the match and get out of the ground by 2200...then have a 6 hr journey back and most probably have to take another day is plain stupid. Whereas on a Saturday or Sunday this is not a problem...putting it to a Monday night is.
Sky never take the supporters into consideration at all...
So as a match goer you should be up to speed with travel timings, work issues and costs.Yeah read the bit below the part you bolded, perhaps I didn't make it clear enough for you but I would assume as you have that match goers will also have sky for the matches they can't view. Yup, do you not understand that Sky is a business and their priority is to make money through subscription and adverts? The more people watching the game on TV the more money they can make. They don't care its awkward for match goers. I completely understand and I sympathise but I'm not Sky.So as a match goer you should be up to speed with travel timings, work issues and costs.
Not once have you come in support of the match goung supporter
yeah i like it too. And it will only get betterThree of our first seven games on BT sport. I know a lot of people don't but I quite like their coverage so happy with that.
Away support allocation 2-3k ...hardly a difference to viewing figures.Yup, do you not understand that Sky is a business and their priority is to make money through subscription and adverts? Just to expand on your most recent edit, so you think they make no money from adverts? Do you think they place games on a Monday night to be an annoyance to match day goers? Its because they can maximise PROFITS that way.
Yeah. Because if you go to a football match you obviously don't have a Sky subscription. Even if, as a football fan you don't have a subscription (which is going to be unlikely but possible). They should still look after the interests of match going supporters. It's common sense really. Why would they go out of their way to help those who aren't their customers?
