Luis Diaz | Liverpool reject approach from Barcelona

There's zero chance Barcelona are paying €85 million for Diaz.

Barca, who could hardly register Olmo, are signing Diaz for 85m. not happening. Unless they're putting Yamal up as collateral

Even with all the levers, Barca hasn’t bought a player for over 60m euro since summer 2019. They’re not spending more than that on a 28-year-old backup winger.

I have seen some weird reports that they are open to selling Raphinha. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

He has good work-rate but not so good decision making.

He would probably fit decently in Flick's Barcelona, but I don't see it happening.

Seems likely we're just gonna run his contract down, he's on just £55k salary it appears so would be bad business to triple that for a new contract.

I like him but still hope he leaves for a good transfer fee this summer to be honest.

Yep i am the same. It's a similar view i take with Bruno for UTD (obviously they have different levels of importance to both teams before someone thinks i'm comparing the players), at their ages, i think both teams should entertain bids for them and look to use the money.

Like Bruno, it's difficult to be certain LFC can replace him like for like. People question Diaz, but his work-rate is second to none. He creates and scores decent goals as well. Yes he's not quite Sadio Mane but he's very good.

Outside of

Raphinha
Barcola
Vini Jr (1 behind)

He has the highest G/As in Europe from Left wing.

LFC are lucky to have Gakpo, however, to sign some of the rumoured players will take 40 mill, so LFC need to be aiming for 60 or so for Diaz.

For example, Gordon is no better than Diaz. He's English and younger, but last year the talk was 85mill for him. Nevermind Prem-tax, that's wild in comparison.

85M for Diaz is having a laugh, i'm sure Barcelona will be wary of getting rinsed again by the scousers

If Barcelona do another Coutinho ludicrously over valued job with Liverpool, we really need an investigation into them.
They had a big hand in helping Klopp put that unit together for their golden few years.

Definitely a conspiracy and not evidence that they’re a terribly run club.

During those years barca was handing out a 100m to everyone. 100 for Griezmann, 100+ for coutinho and another 100+ for Dembele. Liverpool were the only ones sensible with their gift. They learned from wasting the suarez cash.

Then they bottled a 3 goal head start in the champions league. feckers.

I had no idea he was 28. Barca have such a strange transfer policy considering their finances and pull.

Especially considering they are looking to add numbers rather than a need. Raphinha was excellent for them from the left. Now what i suggest is that they pay 40m for Rashford and pay his entire salary. Thats what makes sense

Unless his agent is totally incompetent I think he'll get a move or a new contract this summer. 55k for a top level player who is 28 is terrible and who knows what he will look like in two years. The time to secure the bag is now.

60m+ and I'd agree.

I am similar, due to the contract situation that seems to be playing out.

Using Bruno as a establisher of his market value and making it public knowledge is very good positioning as a club.

Many on here are questioning Diaz's value when people mention 60/70/80mill but are happy to say Bruno for 100 or 120 +.

Both are going to go for inflated amounts if they go to Saudi which sounds the likeliest destinations for both, IF they were to leave.

Personally speaking i think LFC will sell Diaz this summer and the price will be a good one.

I've read some reports that Diaz wants to stay in Europe but if it's true he's on 50k, and LFC aren't renewing it.....surely a Saudi wage will be too good to turn down.
