It seems like we are coached to constantly go for the counter-attacking opportunities, even when we are in front and should be comfortable. There is no adjustment when we go in front, so we just end up giving the ball away time and time again. We need someone with a bit of maturity to step on it in midfield and make us keep possession for a few minutes. But then again, we don't have the quality to build up to a chance that way.

With players like Bruno and Casemiro we are too rash in midfield no control at all.
Yep it's no wonder we can't keep possession when them two and Rashford treat the ball like it's a grenade.

Such a fragile team. In control until they fluke a goal and we lose all composure. It’s scary how poor some of our players look under pressure.

Horrendous half. How the feck can we have a 2-0 start away to Luton after 5 minutes and proceed to play with absolutely 0 control? Where the feck is the coaching to control a game against what is basically lower division opposition, lower division level players... It's astoundingly shit.

Thank god we're winning. But there is absolutely 0 plan to control games, and that comes from coaching. Players might be doing shit, but we aren't even trying to control. It's horrible.

Casemiro off. Bruno off. Mctom on, Eriksen/Amrabat on. No brainers. If Casemiro stays on, he will get sent off and we will likely lose this game.

Casemiro is shocking. This is his Gary Neville v WBA moment

Good that we're going in ahead at HT. Really poor from our experienced players in the second part of that half. Such a terribly frustrating team to watch.

Think this group needs some psychological input more than anything. It’s like they get flashbacks and just retreat as a defensive mechanism.

Is Keano in the studio? I hope someone points out Onana going walkabout for the goal

Hojlund looks very good, holding the ball up well, setting up the passes to the runners. Mainoo has been superb, has 2/3 nutmegs already, his ability to find solutions to situations the vast majority of players lose the ball in is elite level, like up there with the best around in those scenarios.

Cas hasn't handled the pace of game at all, keeps diving in, he and Maguire.

For all that Luton should be at least level Utd are still carrying a huge threat, and all it will take is a couple of passes played correctly and guys will be in on the keeper.

Most of these players need to be binned off, build around Hojlund, Mainoo etc

He will never sub Bruno. Also it wont be Eriksen, he only goes defensive.

Casemiro looks absolutely woeful and off the pace. It’s just unbelievable how often we give the ball away. There’s not even an effort to keep the ball for 30 seconds. At the first chance possible, the aim seems to be hoof the ball and give it away.

Apparently, scoring two quick goals really unsettled our players.
Doesn't unsettle them - makes them think they're amazing again.

Casemiro, Bruno and Rashford should be hooked at half time.

I don’t think we can risk Casemiro coming out for the second half. Amrabat probably has to come on. I’d be tempted to switch Bruno for Eriksen as well and try and get some damn control of the midfield.

The positives is leading the good start and scoring two goals. Casemiro avoiding red for now..

Since then it's been shades of the away games to Galatasaray, Copenhagen allowing the game to turn into chaos and lacking of leadership on the field to sort it out

An excellent start and should have ran away from it from there, but we’ve let them back in the game and since then we’ve been absolutely atrocious. I think this is possibly the worst performance of the season since. It’s happened because we are constantly making bad decisions on the ball and that we just can’t control a game of football. Casemiro is maybe lucky not to get sent off, I think the decision not to show the 2nd yellow is probs right call as the Luton player was going away from goal but it could have gone the other way easily. Shaw has struggled today, apart from some lung busting runs forwards, he’s looked too lax at the back, not surprised he has gone off injured again.
Game is definitely going to go 2 2 at some point, we can’t keep up this luck up.

We certainly let them back into the game. Casemiro and Maguire visibly struggling

Hojlund and Mainoo our main quality performers that half. Garnacho was decent too

Eriksen for Casemiro at half time. It's clear the crowd is targeting Casemiro and he is walking a very fine line there. He is also clearly holding back the last 10 minutes.

    Shaw off injured. Damn.

The first half wasn't a very good half apart from the first 15 minutes. We surrendered possession and gave away stupid balls multiple times.

I think this game will end 3-2 for United.

A couple of lucky goals but otherwise appalling performance. No control, unsustainable dross.

Casemiro can't come out for the second half. A walking (his top speed) red card.

You see Mainoo is the only player to actually take his man on with some skill and confidence. He’s a nailed on starter for the rest of the season with that mentality.

The rest of them just get it away as soon as possible with no thought. Infuriating to watch.

They could learn a thing or two from Mainoo.

Good half from Höjlund and Mainoo., Garnacho and Onana did ok. The rest have been pure shit with special mentions for Bruno and Casemiro because those two took being shit to another level this half.

The difference between the first 12 or so minutes and the rest of the game is shocking. Inexcusable. We're playing like twats.
