I think his perfect penalty has been overlooked in the aftermath of the Italy win.

Have you lot ever seen a more perfectly placed penalty?

The only one I've seen similar (off the top of my head) was David Luiz in the Munich 2012 shoot out.

When I mean perfectly placed Im referring to a powerfully shot penalty, not a pass into the corner a la Bruno or Jorginho. For a defender to just smash it so accurately was great to see.

His strike of the ball on that penalty was absolutely sensational. Even if the keeper went the right way he would never have saved that.

Owen Hargreaves' penalty in the 2008 Champions League final shootout was brilliantly placed iirc. You could argue Maguire's penalty was the best of the shootout.
