Woodward has to be removed from football decisions.
He obviously hasn’t got a clue. It’s like the geeky financial wizard from school is getting to rule over the jocks and is getting pleasure from telling them what to do.
He has made this club a laughing stock.

Levy was a hate figure at Spurs then appointed Pochettino and suddenly he's seen as a shrewd business man.

Same will happen with Ed. There's only a handful of managers out there good enough for Utd and sometimes they are already happy in other jobs at big clubs.

I honestly feel if we get Pochettino then we've finally found the right guy since Fergie quit and Ed will be a hero all of a sudden.

Needs to step aside from the football stuff. He’s utterly clueless about football.

His handling of LVG’s sacking was poor, this is just as bad. Needs to stop leaking everything to the press to make himself look better.

Mourinho & Mendes did that.

I just don't understand how any manager will fancy working for him. After what he did with Moyes, LVG and Mourinho, letting them know their sacking news from press leaks first, any manager coming will kno for sure Ed doesn't give the truth. He's a lier and does things on his own behind curtains. How can any manager trust to work with him ?

He's a snake.

Juventus once sacked Ancelotti at half time. Never recovered from that - been manager-less for 19 years now, as obviously nobody can trust to work for them.

Is he even in control of something ?

In last months he was invisible in scale of Matteo Darmian.

Five years, three managers, countless squad additions and exits. One Woodward.

As previous posts have alluded too, who would want to work with Woodward, in the terminology of the owners a " a carpet begger and a snake oil salesman ".
Not to be trusted in word or deed.
I believe that the next manager will have very soon after the appointment Woodward whispering to the press that " That there is no value in the market "

The best thing he could do is hire an experienced dof and step away from footballing matters.

If he's serious about bringing a DoF in, the sensible move now would be to appoint an interim manager until the former arrives.

Then again, this is Ed Woodward, the noodle prince of Disneyland. He's capable of things others can only dream about.

Was glad to see Neville directing criticism towards Woodward even if he didn't mention him by name. He deserves any ounce of heat he gets.

Things simply aren't going to get better while he remains so directly involved in the football side of the club, which has been a shambles ever since he took over.

Fekin leaked to the press again. Ed, get the hell out of our club!

Ay, Woodward has told the press he is going to sack the manager. Jesus.

It’s clear as anything who is responsible for this leak. Primarily so halfwits can get jumped up and turn against the board.

Woodward has consistently picked the wrong managers, not been able to buy the right players, and has no idea of how to be a person with honour and values. Woodward out!!!

The guy regime here as a CEO has been nothing short of embarrassing and failure but it's amazing to still see some willing to defend him and lay all the blame at the manager's doors, the managers he himself appointed.

His reigme here can be described as :

1) failure and panic managerial appintments of who is out of the contract available.
2 )Zero planning or long term vision for the club in any decision.
3) trash and random transfer activity.
4) briefing and leaking to the media in a disgraceful way everyonce in a while to save his face
5) stapping the managers he appointed in the back by their end of reign. Instead of telling them in the face they're saked he leaks it to the media and let the manager knows the reports from newspapers.
6) of course all this accompanied by no league title challenging for 6 years under 3 different managers.

If a CEO had done all this at any other top club he would have been sacked with immediate effect following the manager he appointed out of the door, but it's United so he won't just keep his job, but will be defended by some as well like his leading of the club has brought a treble before and it's just the last few years are the problem.

Woodward is (hopefully) about to make a decision that needs making and has done for some time. Better late than never.

He’ll get stick for it, too. Which is somewhat understandable albeit misguided.

If he were to have bowed down on a whim, we would have spent £130 million on the likes of Willian and Maguire, while the likes of Pogba, Martial and Shaw would be playing their football elsewhere (and probably playing very well, too). Thank feck that didn’t happen.

I personally am not fond of woodward for various reasons, from qoutes that have come out of his mouth to his demeanor (judemental, I agree). However 'Woody' as he was nicknamed was lauded for his business acumen regarding transfers when we landed the big names. Said big names didn't live up to their expectations and we all slate him.

The club needs a board that has total parity with the manager, without that we will fail once again. Or we find the next Fergie who controls the club like a dictator and has a vision.

Dictator with a vision will always be a stronger leader than a former bank accountant with a smile of Bill Cosby.

That's fine but why the hell did he appoint Mourinho in the first place then? Absolutely nothing we've seen from Mourinho is in any way inconsistent with how he managed at previous clubs.

The decision to sack Mourinho is one thing but if we're talking about Ed Woodward's performance then the disastrous decision to hire Mourinho in the first place comes into play too, as does the shambles of the prior two managerial reigns under his stewardship.

As if, it's not like the club don't have a history of behaving like this is it? I guess you think LVG leaked he was getting the sack too?

Keeping your head stuck deep in the sand I see.

Who leaked Moyes then?
Haven't got a clue. Though the Moyes one didn't take much leaking. We lose to Everton, top 4 is mathematically impossible. The next day Moyes is sacked. Even he can't be thick enough to be shocked by the clauses of his own contract.

He can sack Jose whenever but then the biggest things to follow are: hiring a manager under a DoF or hiring a manager without a DoF...then shifting a handful of players and wages off the books.

The dynamics of the football operations at United is such a clusterfeck.

The first team needs more quality, more players to leave and to maintain a proper balance of experience, drive, and youth.

Another couple of years until United can challenge for the title.

Here, there, everywhere...
He should stop trying to be the next Perez and hand over the reigns to someone who has adequate football acumen. It will be the same shit all over again if our football structure doesn't change for the next manager. We'll be here again in two years time asking for a new manager, a Dof and this lunatic to leave the football operations.

EDDY OUT!
