Manchester is undesirable but Liverpool isn’t?

They are selling instant success. We sell "long term shit". When you are a player in your prime years, you are not interested in building something which will repay you after few years. You want to win things now. And when you are winning things then you forget on weather and things like that.

Wasn’t there a thread once that discussed this possibility?
I expect you could find a thread discussing every possibility on here.

At the moment, I think we should move the team to Scotland because we would probably have a shot at winning the fecking Highlands League

Again, I don’t think Klopp/Pep are that far from Ole, and United, as a club, offer more, in my opinion, to those clubs, not to mention that we can offer wages even/above the other clubs.
United are made to sound like a step-child to City/Pool and that cant be Solely due to our manager.
They are not even close, Ole, is a decent/average manager, Klopp/Pep are both world class.

Klopp has spent 500miil on players. Pep even more.

Its basically our owners holding us back not our location. Players will come once they are paid well. Look at City before Pep came. They signed loads of big name players.

The idea that you need a big name manager or CL football is a total myth.
Bruh you guys have spent more then Liverpool and are just slightly behind City spending in the last 4-5 years hardly you haven't spent.

If anything poor recruitment and managerial appointments have hurt you not because you couldn't spend

Your losing 3-1 to CP when 3 of your players on the pitch cost 200M combined.

So what? Did Torypool stop spending when all their signings pre Klopp flopped? He got to build a whole new team. Ole has been allowed sign 4 players plus Dan James who was a punt.

We have the revenue to spend but we just arent using it.

Correction we have spent revenue, in fact more than anyone except City. We pay our players more than anyone. Just had unqualified/incompetant people wasting it. Until you replace Woodward & get a decent coach like Poch in, we won't go anywhere. Imagine you had a business & hired your friend to run it, with no qualifications except that you liked them. Nepotism plain & simple is the issue here.

More like the geographical location what Liverpool and Manchester City have over Manchester United is more stability in which they can provide a better platform for players who aspire to play at the highest level and challenge for titles. Anyway teams in England pay a lot of money compared to other leagues so they will continue to attract players from overseas so it's more about identifying and buying the right players even if they aren't superstars yet.

Wasn’t expecting the “Ole Out” brigade that soon, but alright. Why can Klopp and Pep recruit but Ole can’t? How do they convince the move where Ole fails?
Is this serious? This has nothing with being Ole out or in. It is about not being delusional. Of course, of course most players will prefer to play more for managers like Pep or Klopp. Bigger names, well known very good tactical styles, and guaranteed success everywhere they land.

Currently both Liverpool and City are the club's who guarantee more success. Players joining know fully well how the manager plays and what he can achieve.

For United currently, it's mostly money, fame, marketing and wishful thinking that things might click. It's not a guaranteed success like what Pep and Klopp are offering in their clubs.

Previously if you wanted to win something in England then United and Chelsea were your best bets, now it's Liverpool and City. Simple.

Pretty easy no brainer for a player with no affiliation to choose City or Liverpool over United. It has nothing to do with the cities and like many said it has all to do with the managers and the quality of the clubs. Players want to play for winners and want glory. City and Liverpool at the moment can offer a winning environment, a winning culture, the hunt for trophies and the highest level football.

These things are a bit relative. I'm sure Di Maria would've been happily dancing through rainy Manchester had the team been in 1st place with him banging in goals left and right. Same goes for current City and Pool. They're winning teams while United are rebuilding. Players want to join winning teams.

Even still, you've attracted some huge names after SAF left. This year admittedly is a bit sober so far, but being unable to lure players is hardly an insurmountable problem for United.

The weather in Northern England is really shite though, and I'm from Holland which isn't exactly filled with Palm Trees either.

I see little evidence that Pool or City are much more attractive in attracting top talent. Liverpool just succeeded in making a few low-profile signings into top performers and City spent 50m on enough players to build a strong squad.

The way Liverpool turned Mane, Salah and Firmino into one of the best front 3's is incredible. In isolation, none of them really looked like world beaters. Not that they were bad, but not CL & PL winning caliber either.

Both Mane & Salah were perceived as pace merchants and Firmino had a very underwhelming first season. Klopp coached them very well.

Also, Robertson for 8m was daylight robbery.

London over the NW obviously gives clubs an edge, but it’s only likely to be a small factor. Maybe if a player is choosing between two clubs he equally likes career wise. The stuff with City and Liverpool though is purely going to be down to club ambition, potential for winning stuff, manager, etc. No-one is going to say ‘I won’t move to Manchester because of the place!’ and then move to Liverpool obviously.

There's only one United!

It's not exactly Ole who convinces - it's ED & Judge and knowing that our team is the property of the Glazers.
These people are happy to fill us with hope of buying stars and then suddenly everything falls to pieces and a large percentage of players connected to us join other teams.
They are happy if we make 4th place each and every season but not to build a PL winning team.
