As expected City have dominated but we’re still in the game still and have had chances. The goal and pen was soft, and Hojlund should have done better up the other end.

Definitely some positives we can take from that half and do feel as though there’s a goal in it for us.

Why the feck is the stadium so damn quiet.

After that bullshit decision, the atmosphere should be toxic for those cheating pricks and that cnut ref.
Yeah, if that was Anfield you know they'd boo the shit out of the referee and City players. Our fans are a bit like our team, soft and indifferent. Apathy truely set in all around the club.

Absolutely fuming about that pen. It's hard not to go full RAWK with conspiracy theories and City's supposed brown envelopes when decisions are given like that. Shirt-pulling goes on in literally EVERY penalty area when balls are swung in like that. Hardly ever, ever gets pulled up as a penalty, especially when the player being "fouled" is nowhere near getting the ball.

Have also stopped immediately celebrating goals we score as so many seem to be ruled out by VAR now as well.

VAR is a blight on the game, end of.

Back on the footballing side of things - Hope the team comes out with some motivation second half. City haven't exactly been in scorching form lately. Have a fecking go.

Manchester United 0-1 Manchester City of the UAE in association with the PGMOL and brought to you by VAR "one call and the game is gone" industries

Given the opposition, could have been worse.

sorry but all the trouble is down the other side... nothing to do with lindelof
Yes but the ball is being crossed from the left and planted straight on whoever Lindelof is supposed to be marking. You’d hope he’d give us a bit of strength in the air as a centre back.

Onana been our best player so far. Even before the Gordon Banks save.

At around 40 minutes there was a stat comers 0-6, I remember saying well at least it’s not goals. That’s really how much city dominated us and what we have become.

    MEN…

    Onana

Decent second stop after unconvincing first save from Foden. Big save at end of the half. 7

    Dalot

    Struggling at both ends. 4

    Maguire

    Involved in a glaring mix-up. 5

    Evans

    Under the cosh. 5

    Lindelof

A selection that has not been vindicated. 4

    Amrabat

On Serie A pace again. 4

    McTominay

    Had two good chances. 5

    Eriksen

    Overwhelmed. 4

    Fernandes

    Offered little. 4

    Rashford

Came alive by creating a good opening for McTominay. 5

    Hojlund

And yet, despite United being that dog turd that none of the team except the goalie can get a HT score of more than 5.... City are only winning by a penalty that wasn't a penalty.... so their ratings best be similar.

    They are not mutually exclusive.

We are having trouble on the right with their movement/Silva and also Lindelof has been shite with his involvement in the game. The difference is that Dalot is getting double/triple teamed and Lindelof is letting every pass go by him without any pressure 1 vs 1; that's not taking into account he's been scared on the ball and it's like a black hole on that side with him.

Every week same thing among us, ref this ref that, our overpaid cnuts getting excused on every corner how about follow your defensive responsibility and not be lazy feck to take easy way and try to hold someone ( yes it happens every game, we didnt get a whistle in the past and still all of that has nothing to do with neglecting their fecking roles in defending a set piece ).

Regarding football, it was more of less same shit as performances in the past, football aint for us, its that simple, not to mention dumb decisions during a match.

We don’t look any closer to city than we have during the last 18 months despite 400 million being spent. I suppose the question is, is that acceptable?
ETH is rather mediocre. It is very obvious to me.

Very happy that Onana has recovered his form.

    Accurate, tbf.

I think we're all pleasantly surprised it's only 0-1. It's a very, very low bar we're setting. I don't enjoy the way we play.

From now on, every week there should be minimum 20 penalties per week in the EPL.

It was a fecking joke to award that penalty. Feck VAR. This is the first time I am against VAR. I have had enough.

Someone needs to get on Rodri and give him a hard time.
But then he'll fall over and the ref will blow for a foul. Then Jack "aw he's such a nice lad" Grealish will push someone around trying to start a fight and bugger all will happen to him.

Eriksen been so wasteful. Can’t help thinking Hannibal would be good in there or move Bruno in field.
think Garnacho has got to come on. Personally I’d like to see either him or Rashford NOT inverted so we can cross

Don't want anyone blaming Hojlund. Those are never given and he was our best outfield player that half.

If he was a diver we would probably have a penalty ourselves which is a shame the sport encourages diving.

Dominated what? We had same mount of chances as them ffs. Maybe if you go full Pep and consider higher possession = domination which is silly.

A familiar story for us so far: Promising start, some good high turnovers wasted with bad decision making and/or dithering, concede a stupid goal that we didn't need to, struggle to get back into it.

If you wrote the above at half time on the CAF every weekend, would anyone be able to tell which game you were talking about? Its groundhog day.

PS) Eriksen has given a reminder today about why we should've bought a proper box-to-box midfielder in the summer. He's been terrible with and without the ball.
PPS) Lindelof is so shaky. So shaky.

ETH needs to stop being so passive and call out every referee in the League.

We get given nothing and everything is given against us.

Call them out and take a 3 games ban. It needs to be highlighted and will be worth any ban
say what you want about Klopp and Liverpool but after the Diaz goal they made it their business to tell everyone that it was a poor decision, dominated the footballing media the entire weekend, got the PGMOL to give them the audio

Just looking at the replay of the pen. Did the foul start outside of the box? Maguire had hands around him too just outside the box, surely the first is the one given?

Glad we’ve been screwed by VAR nice and early so we can get on with it now. It’s literally every game now.

He has 1 of his chosen back 4 on the pitch... Wonder if that could have anything at all to do with being able to play out from the back.
So you expect us to suddenly work out patterns and triangle passes only once we have a first choice 11? Anyone else and we cannot string 3 passes together?

Ignoring the second part of that post for a reason?
What is that got to do with ward prowse as a player? Football is not a 1 vs 11 sport. Mount on tbe other hand couldn’t even be trusted to play more than token minutes against Sheffield and Copenhagen.

We are shite. The team selection and obviously our lack of tactical ability to play out from the back and be generally overall shite is squarely on Eth
    Yes indeed.
Our lack of technical ability compared to City is scandalous.
But we still have to work significantly harder to close down the gaps.

Entire panel of pundits are saying if you want to give that penalty, then you got to give it for every corner and free kicks. I have not seen any given this season except for this game. Go figure.....was Oliver promised a car?

Tbf the plan is right but our forwards are too wasteful, we should have scored at least one from the counters. And the fecking ref is shockingly biased. Anyway what a fantastic save from Onana.

We should keep doing this in the second half and wait for their mistake. But imo ETH will change his plan to push forward and we'll get thrashed consequently. Maybe 3/4 - 0. Hope I'm wrong though.

With this team that he put out today, I'm close to being done with ETH, even if I think he is a brilliant coach.

I can't believe I said this. It's time to abolish VAR. We all have had enough of the incompetencies. It was supposed to improve the game but it's having the opposite effects. Feck it.

I wish we had Mourinho right now just for having a go at the refereeing. ETH is spineless in these matters.
